Pros (+) We stayed on the 8th floor and had a terrific view of downtown Rapid City, including the ice rink. I felt like I was in a Christmas movie watching the kids skate around. The Vertex is a very nice rooftop bat and it was nice to sit in front of the fire on the patio in mid December, enjoying the view without freezing,.

Pros (+) Downtown location.
Cons (-) Construction outside starting at 6:15! Dirty floors in lobby and elevators due to workers... with no attempt to clean it up. No kitchen. Generally chaotic and noisy. No thermostats in rooms: either heat and you cook or cold and you freeze. Sorry, just a bad property.

Cons (-) My room was a little small, but was kind of expected for a motel that old. Bathroom needed updated. Carpet & bathroom both seemed dirty
