Needs upgrade to doors at entrance to automatic opening when enter hotel and new furniture in rooms, needs new look and maids never incert garbage bag properly in bins and always streaks on windows and mirrors. I worked as maid before and it was at a fishing / adventure lodge so i know the importance of quality and the appearance of room for customers.
We didn’t eat there, the room was nice, fluffy pillows are important because of my injury, they were great. The view could of been better, we traveled a long way out of the Yukon Territory to come here.
We arrived after lunchtime and they couldn’t check us in before 3 pm. As we weren’t from Rupert and not knowing what to do or where to go was a problem to kill over two hours of time. I have a spinal injury so resting from time to time is important.
The balcony most of all, bed was comfortable. Fairly spacious room. Coffee maker, small fridge and microwave, also an iron and ironing board. Restaurant was ok. The place is decent.
It’s trying to be classy, but I think it’s going through some economic hard times. The inside looks much nicer than the exterior, which at first I mistook for a high rise housing complex. Must be the concrete and corrugated metal/glass industrial look?
It was fine. Not fancy, but fine.
We got in at 2:00am, so the loud walkie-talkies outside our room at 7:00am were not appreciated. One elevator is stuck on the top floor, do elevator waits were long.
Location to the water and the ferries
We were put on the fifth floor, which apparently is the dog floor. However, none of us were asked if we had an allergies to dogs. The vents were very dirty. We had to get our key cards activated more than once. There was no air conditioning units in these rooms
