The bed was mostly comfortable, but the mattress didn’t feel great for the price. Large curtains with bug nets also.
Shower was broken, the water didn’t get up to temperature for 10 minutes (hottest setting), shower head gasket was leaking badly and gushed water onto the walls and floor. Toilet was slow to flush and when returning to use it again, the water colour wasn’t transparent as it should be; it had a tan/yellow tinge. Parking was atrocious, tried to look around the car park for a space to see that there were cars parked in the way and vans taking up multiple spaces
Internet should be wireless and free
Leaving was the best part of my stay - I will be making an official complaint against Holiday Inn
Nowhere to park on the premises, having to pay for a multi storey carpark away from the hotel, waiting 2 1/2 hours to go to my room, being given a Single bed for 2 people, being told no other room available, being given another room that was occupied and the waking/frightening of the tennant at 1.30am as I tried to use the room key - disgusting - being charged full payment, then having a night payment taken away presuming I would complain and when I waited to see what they would do next, they finally reinstated full payment - so even my bank account was intruded by holiday inn - I am appalled!!!! I booked this 3-4 months in advance for a birthday present 2 day vacation, away from work at the Council...RUINED & stressed instead!
Handy for the Guildhall and centre
Kindness of the staff. Good location. Cleaness of the room. Price.
Breakfast could be a little improoved. Parking a bit small.
