Pros: At the last minute I requested a room with two beds and a walk in shower as well as being quiet and we were accomodated with all three!
Cons: To be honest after a day driving around all day (and as everywhere in Pontivy was closed on a Sunday) a drink in the bar would have been nice.

Pros: Our room was simply furnished, fresh, bright and as comfortable as we have had anywhere. The hotel overall was also very well kept, clean and fresh. The managers were most welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was generous and replenished frequently. We loved our stay here.

Pros: Very large apartment in middle of nice town. Very convenient. Quiet. Comfortable bed. Good bike storage. Well equipped kitchen.
Cons: Check in time of 1700 but arrangements were made to check in earlier which resolved any problem. We never met the host although communication was fast and good via email.

Pros: Lovely location and a beautifully spacious and comfortable room and bathroom, in stark contrast to other hotels we stayed in. Every need was catered for and the staff were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the adjoining bar where we chatted to some friendly locals. It also offers a spacious car park with plenty of parking. This all made for a very relaxing stay.
Cons: It would have been nice to have fresh fruit salad included in the breakfast, which, for the money, was a little disappointing. However, this seemed to be standard in the hotels we stayed in.

Our entire team welcomes you 24 hours a day to this characterful town where Brittany's major roads (Rennes/Brest - Vannes/St-Brieuc) meet between the English Channel and the Atlantic Ocean. Fully renovated by Archange in 2018, this hotel comprises 45 rooms with air conditioning and the new Sweet Bed by ibis bedding, a lounge bar with terrace overlooking a garden, and a completely redesigned Courtepaille restaurant. Ideally located for business meetings, our hotel also has 2 ibis Meeting rooms.

Pros: Beds were very comfortable with air-conditioning and spacious bathroom. Plenty of space in the room and a nice view out over the surrounding hills and fields. Breakfast had a very good selection to choose from and the pastries were fantastic. Private parking is available in a large car park outside the front of the hotel.
Cons: Lift didn't sound great but never failed to get us to the top floor.

Between the Channel and the Atlantic, the ibis budget Pontivy (formerly Etap Hotel) is perfectly located for exploring Brittany at an affordable price. It offers reasonably priced rooms for 1, 2, 3 or 4 people with private shower and toilet. Air-condition ed economy hotel with free WIFI, delicious unlimited buffet breakfast, Courtepaille restaurant with 15 percent discount, private car park and enclosed garage.

Cons: Rooms basic, like student accommodation, but clean and well maintained. But shower is in bedroom, no separate bathroom, so only share with people you don't mind seeing naked!! Breakfast very limited to British eyes, not worth six euros, and restaurant next door didn't open until nearly 7pm and didn't look great. Didn't appreciate that there are two hotels on the same site - Ibis and Ibis Budget. I booked Budget without realising the difference.

Cons: The location of the hotel. Too far out of Pontivy to enjoy the town. If your a tired cyclist or hiker don’t use ibis hotels they are always in a commercial zone several mms out of town- and this one is at the end of a steep climb!
