Cons: Problems with payment. It is very sad that the staff are not familiar with booking.com. We frequently hear expressions like: “but if you booked with booking, then your situation is different”. Not easy to checkout.

Pros: I came back after many years. The location and the charm from the old days is a must

Cons: I didn’t like the people from Bradesco which rent part of the property and the guests couldn’t go to the inside garden, we didn’t have chairs along the main hall, the game room and bar was all taken. It was very upsetting. I noticed lack of care in details. We didn’t have the light over the mirror in the bathroom. No fixture and no bulbs of course. I asked two time to be repaired and they never did it. The mirror had brown spots . We didn’t have a garbage can in the room only in the bathroom, the shower box had the top loose what was not easy to close the door.

Pros: The staff were regulating the use of towels in the pool area and complained about the amount of towels used by guests previously, as the hotel was full. They also showed dissatisfaction with the use of the sauna, because they would have to clean. It was very embarrassing to hear the whining of the servants

Cons: I liked the location, the comfort of the room, the pool area and the sauna.

Pros: Very attentive staff. Best location in the city. Nice breakfast.

Cons: Noisy rooms.

Pros: It was a amazing building and the sulphur pool was incredibly nice with warm water.

Cons: A female member of the staff was quite rude because we arrived last minute to have breakfast. They close the doors at 10 but don't take the food away until 10:30. The day before we got there 9:55 and had breakfast without a problem but the next day we got there at 10pm and the stuff made a bit of big deal that breakfast ends at 10:00am. The head waiter asked us to make a plate that they were going to take the food away. That's understandable since we were there at that time - but a young female member of the staff almost elbowed my partner as she was getting the food and had a really grumpy face on her. I think that although we were there last minute for breakfast and they had been serving until 10:30 in the previous days, that was uncalled for since we were paying guests.

Pros: The hotel was charming. However, it felt as if it was from a bygone era, which actually added to the charm. It needs more customers

Pros: The hotel is old, but this is not an excuse to never renovate or make it modern!

Cons: They should improve the Gym, the SPA places and renovate all rooms.

Pros: The reception desk (Miss Paula) was very friend and professional.

Cons: Not very comfortable, old beds, small towells, no elevator. Old middle-of-the-art visual, but not charming.

Cons: Horrible hotel. Filthy, with cockroaches around the pool area. The pool was extremely acid (maybe because of the filthiness). The reception was slow. With 3 attendants and 3 clients, the took 10 minutes to talk to me. The mattress was horrible, full of bumps. The charge me R$330.00 (USD $80) for a hot room with no air conditioning. I have to pay an extra to change to a room with Air Cond. And guess what, even paying that price: THE ROOM DIDN'T HAVE SHAMPOO!! ALL IT HAD WAS A CHEAP SOAP. The game room was also filthy and destroyed. And even like that, I had to pay to use the pool and ping pong games. Yes, they sell you the coin to use the pool and ping pong games! There was not parking for every body. So I had to park my car two blocks away in a parking they told me to park. Next day, the call me to the room, wake me up while I was sleeping, and "ask" me to remove my car from that parking and put it on the hotel parking. They didn't offer the hotel parking as an option, they told me I had to remove my car from the other parking. The only positive thing about the hotel is the location. Horrible Quality/Price relation.
