Nice old hotel, a lot of character. It is the center of town.
We could not find our room. Up and down the elevator until this very nice young lady who was an employee showed us how to get to our room. There were too many stairs to get to the room with luggage and bad knees. We had breakfast and it was very nice and an efficient staff. Overall the hotel was very nice and the grounds were lovely. I know it is hard to do anything about the stairs in the old hotels, but twin beds!?! A queen would have been a nice addition!
The Blood on the shower curtain
good central position with easy access to shops and various attractions, restaurants, walks etc.
The location of hotel was very good, and the parking facilities were good, the staff were all friendly and helpful.
The T.v in room was very poor but we were not there to watch T.v so it was only a minor problem. There is nowhere in shower to place soap or toiletries while in shower.
Simple booking.. Hotel looked good from outside When requesting that pre authorisation on card be invalidated {next day} the manager was very helpful.
Room looked grubby and tatty.Stains on carpets.Bathroom looked like it was from a cheap hostel..
The staff made an effort despite the hotel being in a poor state and so obviously in need of a complete refurbishment
Yes, loads but it is all summed up by the actual fabric of the hotel being underinvested in for a long period
Breakfast finished at 9 on Sunday morning!
Big breakfast included in the fee
Room needed redecoration. Room would have benefited from a chair
parts of hotel in need of a revamp. shower cold on 2 occasions.
customer service was excellent
hotel rooms could do with a little makeover, but was value for money
Our bathroom needed decorating after a possible leak from upstairs.
