Pros:The breakfast was good . The bed was old and the pillows were flat. It mad it feel like we ware back in the 1800s.
Cons:We like the hotel . But the bed could have been better .
Pros:It has a wonderful feeling of the past and the history which has passed through it.
Cons:The beds are very hard
Pros:We liked the older historical character of the rooms and hotel. Don't go in expecting a 5-star hotel but it has character we really enjoyed.
Pros:This place is an amazing old Hotel. Like, really old (the website claims it was built in the 10th century, the decor feels renaissance). Marble in the hallways and old worn-down brick in the rooms. It's really quite beautiful and impressive. Staying here I felt like I was transported to a different time, which is exactly what I want in an old city like Pisa. A truly unique experience.
Cons:While beautiful, historical and unique, this hotel is not as great on modern comforts. There is little noise isolation (and it's right on a popular square so you will hear noise all night), the beds aren't very comfortable, and there is a shared bathroom in the hall (nothing in the room). I did have a bit of trouble sleeping due to the noise and the squeeky old bed. If you are big on creature-comforts, this is not the hotel for you. This certainly wouldn't stop me from staying here again, but everyone has different priorities.
