Lovely place for families, farm is great and playground for excellent for the kids. Very friendly hosts and perfect location. Accommodation provided enough space and the grounds were perfect for kids running around.
Some of the furniture and kitchen utensils were past their best and I would have expected the accommodation to be cleaner, there was a lot of dust/dirt in harder to clean places that has likely built up over a longer time i.e. underneath bed and on radiators.
Amazing hot tub and sun sets in the evenings. Lovely place for some peace and tranquility. Play park for children and llamas and horses. Lots of places to visit locally or within a short driving distance.
Just a few minor finishing touches bin lid was detached and kettle full of limescale and no filter near spout. Raised with the owner. Could do with a retouch here and there. Still lovely place and some good memories made.
Lovely, clean and well equipped lodge. Nice site and parking next to lodge, dog friendly too.
Absolutely beautiful. The owners are so welcoming and friendly. There are games and DVDs to borrow. The rooms are immaculate and very comfortable with everything you need. The surrounding area is lovely and really well designed and perfect for everyone. Children are well catered for with a play area. The full English breakfast is amazing would highly recommend staying here.
We loved the location fairly central to a lot of places. We stayed for 3 nights for Valentines day as we were also celebrating our anniversary 44 years on the same day. Lovely break, just chilled out and booked a meal at the Willowgate Bistro, Pickering for valentines night. We forgot that we had mentioned it was our anniversary so when we arrived there was a lovely Anniversary balloon tied around some flowers. Lovely gesture and food was wonderful. We booked this lodge about a month before and wasn’t aware at the time that storm Denis was moving in the area. But although wet and windy we made the most of it. Well wrapped up and the hot tub was definitely worth it. Even used it in the bad weather. Gloriously warm. Loved the Al Pacas etc. Will def. bring the grandchildren here. Can imagine this would be lovely in the summer time as well. The only thing we wish we had brought with us was some big sheet towels as you need them for the hot tub. Generally towels were provided but if you are in and out of the hot tub the towels are not big enough to wrap around you if it is cold outside when you get out. Towels provided are generally for your shower etc. This is not a criticism. Thank you Steve and Sarah
We loved everything about it
