Pros: Great shower, comfy bed and awesome staff. Even though I speak hardly any Spanish, everyone made sure I understood everything I needed to know.
Cons: It could have been free. It could have been warmer. I loved this hotel and have nothing to say that I didn't like.

Cons: Missed the premade coffee on table with some cookies and no fire in fireplace that we enjoyed last summer.

This is a delightful, pristine property with a beautiful courtyard garden and quiet sophistication. Personnel truly want you to be satisfied in every regard. Highest recommendation!

Pros: The central location; the old-style property; the pleasant restaurant. The two large beds, and the provisions for having coffee on the inner balcony at night.
Cons: The parking lot was about 300 yards away down a street with characteristically uneven pavement. There was no bar, and the restaurant closed at 6.00 pm. Virtually all the guests were not Mexican, which probably explains the relatively high price.

6,0 Good
Pros: Nice building, amazing crew and lovely atmosphere
Cons: Internet wasn't working
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful grounds especially when traveling with a pet. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Dinner in the restaurant was not good. Deep fried and not very flavorful.
7,1 Good
Pros: The hotel grounds were beautiful, very nice gardens.
Cons: We were assigned a room next to a courtyard that housed a restaurant. The restaurant closed at 11pm, and the staff cleaned until about 2 am. They were not quiet about it at all. The windows were actually wood shutters, so there was no sound insulation. As we were in a main thoroughfare, you could hear the drinking crowd coming in at all hours of the night. The staff were back around 6 or 7 am to set up breakfast, and that was noisy as well. Zero sleep.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, great location, nice facilities, it is quiet and safe, the only hotel in town with decent availability.
Cons: I was charged the reservation twice because the receptionist wasn't paying attention, she's supposed to be customer service but was more focused on other stuff than on customers, good thing I made the reservation on booking as they were able to resolve. Besides they almost didn't speak any English, too bad for being a Western. Finally the parking lot is too small and cars are too close together, even one of the other guests had their car crashed in there because another guest couldn't turn properly, luckily it wasn't me as I had a rented car.

Pros: Beautiful environment in a hotel with a great location.
Cons: Room had no outside window so was a little dark
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Antique and Modern. Great Location. Wonderful Staff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were charming and spacious and even though the hotel is situated on the main square, the noise was not bothersome. I also loved the extremely high ceilings and rustic decor.
Cons: Finding coffee in the morning was a bit difficult. Having a small coffee maker in the room would be nice, or coffee made in the restaurant earlier than when I found it.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: In the junior suite, amazingly vivid sounds could be heard late into the night. The usual street noise plus babies crying, drunk people, a dog fight, lead pipes falling and cars with subwoofers nearby. There’s also a grand piano and an unlit fireplace.
Cons: Front desk staff could not be bothered to acknowledge or help us and rather talked on the phone upon arrival for an extra 5 minutes. The beds aren’t that comfortable.
6,3 Good
Pros: The location was really central
Cons: The room had no window and it was so dark....
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel and staff were extremely helpful, location was excellent, they park your car for you and upon check out they'll retrieve it. Very important extremely limited parking at Patzcuado.

Pros: Every thing
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It's very confortably and near to Patzcuaro's down town.
Cons: Every thing like me
7,5 Good
Pros: It's an older hotel with some updates. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The gardens are beautiful.
Cons: There was no AC and the windows are bolted so there is no way to get some breeze into the room. You can hear EVERYTHING the people in the next room are doing.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: My room was laid out nicely and was attractive but a little dark. The bed was very comfortable. Light switches and outlets were plentiful and appropriately placed. The Internet was good enough. There were chairs and a coffee table in the room. Outside the room was a veranda with good chairs. The garden in front of the veranda was beautiful. The room was quiet. The bathroom was a little bit small but the water pressure was good, as was the hot water. The sink and shower and toilet drained well.
Cons: The room lighting could be brighter. I would have liked a better desk and chair combination to function as a work desk.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was excelente!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was lovely - It was a present for a one night honeymoon and was exactly right. The food was fine too.
Cons: It was a pity that my friends did not know they had to ask for wood for the chimney, so they missed out on something special. It would be good to mention that you must ask for the chimney to be fuelled and lit.

7,9 Good
Cons: no heater in the room, Patzcuaro gets pretty cold this time of year.
7,5 Good
Pros: The hotel is attractive, well located
Cons: We had trouble getting hot water. The restaurant in the hotel was mediocre and expensive. Staff seemed only mildly interested.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location great. Off street parking. Plenty of bedding to keep you snug in bed.
Cons: Lack of an electric heater being available for room. Rooms with sliding door with large gaps round it letting in cold air from outside
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable and a great location. Beautiful historic District. Will return.
Cons: N/a
5,8 Okay
Pros: These are lovely rooms and very quaint. But the noise from the street prevents any possibility of a restful night and all three rooms we booked were on the main floor and extremely noisy.
Cons: Noise! Noise! Noise!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: I got a good deal on my room.
Cons: Staff does not know the reservations of the day until later in the morning. They had to call some other location to confirm. Staff did not know about tours or how to get to some places.
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: the hotel was overbooked -even though it was still offering up rooms on kayak - they - without any notification - booked us a room in another hotel which was not good at all. I am fighting for a refund as we had to book a much more expensive room at a nearby hotel.
2,0 Mediocre
Cons: In June I reserved a room at Posada La Basilica for the weekend of Day of the Dead...31 October - 3 November. In July the hotel decided to triple its prices for that weekend, and told me that my room was no longer available because the hotel was "overbooked". I understand their desire to charge the highest prices the market would bear, but cancelling a pre-confirmed and pre-paid reservation is slimeball.
7,0 Good
Pros: The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring the city of Patzcuaro and the views from the terrace and restaurant were fabulous. They also gave us a space heater to plug in that took the January chill off nicely and we were nice and warm.
Cons: I know sometimes it is a cultural expectation but I next time I search for a hotel in an inland Mexican tourist city I am going to ask if they have pillow top beds. The mattresses were extremely hard and uncomfortable.

4,2 Okay
Pros: Nothing really conpared to other nearby hotels
Cons: Old hotel..needs renovations...bad restaurant...bad cuisine...needs lots of love...cause the place is in a very good location
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The maintenance persons were very helpful especially with allowing us to park in the front of hotel. If we needed something we went to them bc one of them spoke English. The hotel's restaurant served good food and we had great service by the workers. The head waiter with the mustache was especially good and a very hard worker. He always made sure we had a menu and our food in a timely manner. Everyone in the restaurant was very friendly and accomodating.
Cons: The beds were very hard and we were actual sore after the 3rd day of sleeping in the beds. The hotel's receptionist was difficult to understand and could not really answer our questions when we needed help.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service the hotel is in the center of all your need great view nice terrace were sit and eat
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very helpful and although their English was limited and our Spanish even more so they did their best to answer or questions and make sure our stay was good. The location of the hotel was perfect in easy walking distance to all the main bits of Patzcuaro. The taxis and local minibuses stop right outside so getting to the lake and other villages was easy. We had breakfast in the hotel on a couple of mornings and the food was very good. The hotel is also perfectly located for the local market, street food stalls and other restaurants. Our room was very comfortable with 2 double beds. There was only one plug socket which made charging phones and having the lamp on a logistical challenge but not too much of a problem. There is also good wifi at the hotel.
Cons: Being in the corner of the inner courtyard our room was a little dark.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was amazing especially the food.
Cons: No air conditioning and hard beds.
7,5 Good
Pros: Location and some of the workers went out of their way to accomodate.
Cons: One receptionist wasnt helpful when we asked about the area, stores, trasnportation.

Pros: Location, staff, security
Cons: Everything was great
