Elevator out of service for one day and staff told us to climb stairs, and I was on 7 floor. Another old couple had to climb to 14 floor. That is just not acceptable.

Cons (-) Basic and parking expensive. Lobby renovated as well as rooms but lacks any character and not consistent with charm of Pasadena. A walk to most areas with not much around the hotel itself to do.

Pros (+) Very clean. Very spacious rooms. I love the comforters and the pillows and all the blankets and sheets. Good size of a mini fridge. I like the coffee provided in the rooms, Coffee Bean! The TVs are clean crisp and powerful in sound and graphics. The water pressure is awesome. The rooms and hallways are pretty quiet and great for relaxing. Cons (-) The valet is $23 per night, but every encounter with them was somewhat of a hassle... for them? The first encounter the employee pretended like he did not hear my husband speaking clearly to him. I do not understand the point of having a service job if you do not want to serve customers or at least acknowledge their presence... the second counter, a different employee of the valet saw us standing ...
