Paul & Samantha went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They are on-site and were happy to help us with any questions or requests. Our room and the common areas, including the pool, were super clean. The included breakfast was a great start each day! Also appreciated the great communication prior to our stay as we navigated changes in travel plans.
The noise from the street traffic can be bothersome, but it comes with the location.
We didn't see the other rooms, but our "kitchenette" was an alcove, with a tiny microwave, drip 4-cup coffee maker, and small size frig. . something you see in many hotel rooms. There was a counter-top, with cupboards, cabinet and drawers, but completely empty! Maybe I'm mistaken but shouldn't a "kitchenette" have cooking items like plates, glasses, silverware.. . even a stove/oven? The Polo Towers had a smaller "kitchenette" with silverware, cups, glass glasses, plates, etc. How would you heat or eat anything? All we had for "dishware" was 4 "paper" coffee cups including only use for the bathroom. That was my biggest disappointment, but have to admit the "kitchenette" wasn't on our "selection" list, just a bonus, so I guess I shouldn't complain? Shower had tile missing from drain which I noted for owner, but no big deal. The "kitchenette" was about the only "con" I could suggest, but I thought it was misleading the "hot breakfast" was not on-site but about a half mile up the street at Rick's Restaurant. That's a positive prepared in a restaurant, until you realize it's not really "free," but a tip on 2 $12-value breakfasts is about $5. Any "free breakfast" is a bonus, and better if at a restaurant, but maybe this should be noted so no confusion. This is an older motel, that the owner has done a great job fixing up. Great attention to amenities and decor are made. As most reviews state, the staff is extremely nice and friendly, though the lobby is often locked much of the day. I wasn't convinced there were enough parking spots out front, but we never had to go without one. Everything is very clean and kept up. We didn't use, but there are free bicycle rentals which is a real added amenity.
"Kitchenette" was a tiny room-side microwave, frig, and drip coffee maker, and a sink. No dishware, no utentsils, and the "breakfast" isn't onsite, it's at a restaurant, which is a positive, but should be noted. Some people don't want to go to a restaurant (especially with this virus), and a tip is expected, so not really "free."
Easy to get on/out, good location, spacious room with a small kitchen area. Staff. Dry friendly and helpful. Great breakfast.
Worn down, room was not attractive, had a cold feel to it, narrow sink and not table for cosmetics.
Breakfast was great at a local restaurant close by. The welcome and service was fantastic, extremely nice and helpful. The room as a good size, and there is a coffee maker and everything you need in the room. The pool area is also nice.
The wifi was very slow in our room, and sometimes wouldn't connect. There was some old food and wet towels in the bathroom when we arrived, but that wasn't big deal to to us.
The free breakfast offered at Rick's Restaurant was very good. Although the inn is close to N. Palm Canyon Dr, we had no road noise in our room. The owners are exceptionally friendly, kind, and looking to make their patrons comfortable.
Our room was very small and would have been hard to stay in for more than the one night we were there.
