Had to park a decent way from the property at an additional cost of £20 for the night, but typical for the location.
Weird shaped small room. Two fire alarms, one at 6:50am but no apology.
Had numerous issues- had to be moved from our first room. Second room smelt heavily of damp. Unable to get hold of reception. Have sent an email as not happy with the amount we paid for the standards we received, no response. Would like to hear from the manager.
Over my expectations. Very central but still quiet, clean, good breakfast, the same every morning but with enough choices, nice design of the room and the lobby, restaurant. Very nice, polite and professional the personnel of the restaurant, especially the girls in the morning. It was raining a lot and the temperature in the room was perfect for the bad weather. Strongly recommended.
Quite expensive, no slippers in the room or bathrobe as other 4 stars hotels, the receptionists were polite but not very knowledgeable (I asked indications to visit the castle and her recommendation was to use google maps :)). The windows could not be entirely open. Few products in the bathroom, no body lotion, etc.
Situated in the heart of the historic university city of Oxford, this beautiful 17th-century coaching-inn looks over the Examination Halls and Magdalen Tower. The convenient central location allows guests to easily discover Oxford's most iconic landmarks. City sightseeing tours are available in the area, making this a great base for guests who want to explore. The hotel offers modern, comfortable rooms which are perfectly equipped to accommodate individuals, couples and families.
