Pros (+) Hotel Universal Port is a nice modern hotel catered to families. The minute you walk in your are faced with all types of minion characters as part of the decoration. Our kids loved it. They also have special Minion rooms which we did not know about ahead of time. Staff was professional and attentive. One of the few hotels we could find that could accommodate four people in a room.
Cons (-) Breakfast buffet was ok. Very little western food. We expected an omelet ststion but they didn't have one. An abundance of Asian food. location of the hotel is out of the way from the center of Osaka so takes a couple of trains to get to Dotonbori but you get used to it.
