My husband and I had an amazing stay. The staff was friendly. Our room was a nice size and clean. The pools were amazing. We will definitely return.
Everyone was more than helpful and friendly. What they did not have on site, was never a problem due to the area we were in. Groceries and other stores were close by.
We did not understand that this property was a vacation club prior to our arrival. Had the option of sitting thru a presentation (we did), presentation was good with nothing withheld - just not for us! We did have the option of not attending with no issue.
Stayed here for 4 nights and, overall, had a very pleasant stay. The suite we were in was beautiful, with a balcony overlooking the golf course. The sun shone on it in the morning, so it was most pleasant to wake up and enjoy a coffee, while sitting there taking it all in. The bed was comfortable, and there was ample other space to make it a very comfortable stay. The coffee machine was one of the best I've ever experienced in any hotel, anywhere. To be able to get a cup of proper brew coffee in your hotel room is great. They have complimentary laundry facilities (though only in a couple of their buildings, so it can be inconvenient if you're in a different building to those). The complex is very well manicured and does feel very secure and, though I didn't make use of any of the pools, they looked great. On a different kind of holiday I would happily spend lots of time there.
Though I arrived at a particularly busy time for checking in (on a friday evening), the whole check-in process seemed very disorganised. There seemed to be different lines forming at random, and I ended up waiting for nearly 30 minutes before being able to check-in. Then there was the bizarre experience that occurred when I went to book park tickets at the concierge desk. They have an incredibly generous offer of a $200 gift, on condition that you attend a 'sales presentation'. $200 is a lot of money, and it offset the cost of my park tickets nicely, so of course I accepted. People do need to be aware of what the sales presentation entails though, as very little detail is given prior to attendance. My expectation was that several people would be gathered in a room to hear a sales pitch about buying a timeshare in the Marriott Vacation Club. What did happen, in fact, was a pretty aggressive sales pitch, lasting 1.5-2 hours. It was structured so that you meet with a sales representative who will explain their offering to you in a very friendly manner. However, during my appointment, a further 3 representatives were all sent to speak to me, to try and convince me to part with a substantial sum of money. And it becomes less friendly as it progresses, to a point where they nearly make you feel bad to decline to buy what they're selling. That's not to say that what they were offering is not attractive, but I would recommend that, if you want to avail of the $200 gift, that it might be wise to carry out your own research in order to be more informed. And, if you are not the type of person who enjoys, or can handle a 'hard sell', I would recommend foregoing the gift. Finally, and this was the biggest gripe I had during my stay, was the pressure to leave your room prior to checkout time.
Staff was suuuper friendly, they have a lot of activities, a bunch of pools and jacuzzis, the room was neat with microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge, a little sink and they provide all the serve-ware! Felicha from the pool bar she make the best cocktails!!
The only thing that maybe could be a bummer is that depending of the building you are at you have to walk to the main pool were all the activities are, isn’t a long walk tho.
Very beautiful resort, enjoyed the pool area and gym. Room was nice, like the view of the lake. Close to all the theme parks.
Beds need to be more comfortable and better pillows
