Pros: Oliena is a nice city located in the heart of Barbagia (10 minutes from Nuoro). We enjoyed our trip to Su Gologone, which was a short drive from the B&B (recommended). We had a very clean, large and comfortable room/bath with excellent A/C. The hosts were very involved and generous with their time and suggestions. They offered us a lovely breakfast spread as well.

Pros: Very nice hosts, with a reasonable understanding of English, to compensate for my extremely poor Italian. Very helpful as well. During my stay I had a taste of a variety of local snacks, which the hostess made herself. It felt like I was staying at a friends house. Clean, roomy rooms with good facilities.

Pros: The hosts are very friendly and kind. Our staying felt like home. The property is very clean and with access to the garden. The breakfast has everything and you can ask for what you want or would like to eat. Also, Oliena is very beautiful, near the mountain (my favorite place from Sardinia).

Cons: It’s not as advertised in Oliena but a 10 minute drive from Oliena. However that could also be a good thing since it’s a very relaxed and quiet location.
