The staff was helpful and friendly. She helped us to take our baggage’s up to the first floor the the staircase.
The building is quite old and the facilities are outdated. We could not sleep the first night because there was on and off noise of ‘toilet flushing’ sound all through the night. Actually we guessed that it was the noise from the water pipes or water pumps. We stayed in room 5 on the first floor. After complaining to the staff, we were given a room on the ground floor, which had no such problem as before.
Doris and Mervyn were lovely people and could not have been more helpful or friendly. The one bedroom suite was well equipped and everything was sparklingly clean. It was well furnished. Very comfortable.
The staff were great. The room was a great size. The water temperature and pressure is amazing. The decor is certainly dated but it has everything you need and it’s clean warm and dry. Made me feel very nostalgic recalling travelling with my parents in the 80’s loved how the kitchen was well stocked with supplies.
Bed was way too soft. Was a little noisey being on the main road. Bath has been brought into the modern world only gripe is it’s a fixed head and I like a moveable one so it doesn’t spray in my face.
Close to town. On high way so convenient for travelling through.
Reasonable location about 10 minutes walk from the centre. Very friendly owner. Though a slightly older property still clean and comfortable.
A little road noise as right on the main road in and out of town.
