Overview

Right by the main station, the Best Western Hotel Nuernberg am Hauptbahnhof, Nuremberg, Germany, is a warm modern hotel within easy walking distance of the old town, with friendly service, free Wi-Fi, a cosy lounge serving complimentary coffee and tea, and a green certificate for its eco credentials. The old town, the museums and the shopping streets are all within a short walk, with the exhibition centre a quick ride away on excellent public transport. The castle rises just beyond the old walls. Nuremberg is the historic heart of Franconia, an old walled city of red-roofed houses below a hilltop castle. The great castle looks out over a maze of cobbled lanes and church towers, the painter Albrecht Durer's timber-framed house still stands near the walls, and each Advent the famous Christkindlesmarkt fills the main square with the scent of gingerbread and mulled wine. River bridges and craft workshops line the little Pegnitz.
