Front desk welcoming and helpful. Cleaning help great Lobby nice. Great location. Nice view. Large room
Room needs complete overhaul Very tired and some things did not work Water pressure in shower not ideal
Softie couch was not the best for comfort as we gave the bed to the kids as the room was dark for the very early morning light
Bare and uninviting
The staff were helpful, professional, and made check in and check out smooth as butter. Nice reception area with computers, printer, New York Times, and a few guides for local museums, restaurants and shows. Great location with a cozy bagel shop across the street.
Hallways were dark and the bedroom bare: no art, no color, and not in a sleek, modern way either. When I turned on the spout in the shower/bathtub, it initially gushed a spray of brown, rusty-looking water. In the night, I woke up to an unsettling creaking noise like slow, steady footsteps. I only stayed one night and spent no time in the living room or kitchen, which seemed a bit nicer, but I would have rather had a continental breakfast than a kitchen, especially for the price. No other facilities/amenities included.
Relaxing stay in the Busy Upper East Side
Great, quiet hotel with oversize rooms in Manhattan!
The room was fairly well appointed except for the broken icecube tray and the missing fry pan. Very clean and roomy. Complimentary NY Times.
Lack of coffee station. Poor room service. Faulty heat control. TV was some sort of demo and the sound went in and out. Also annoying popups kept appearing on the screen
Full size kitchen appliances and two bathrooms. Comfy bed and cleanliness of efficiency room.
No outlets in the bathrooms for electrical appliances. Furnishings, carpeting, bathroom lighting and hardware need to be updated. It appeared that the hotel has not had an update in the last 15 years.
Staff was great, location perfect, quiet but close to the metro. Room nice and very clean, we booked a studio but we were upgraded to a suite. Very good stay!
Works for the metro in the street just close to the hotel were a little bit noisy.
The suites were really quite nice. Not high end luxury (unless you're in the Penthouse, I suppose), but tastefully neutral, lots of natural light, a balcony, and equipped kitchen.
There are small things (stains on the hallway carpets, unfinished trim in the suites, etc) that are a bit disappointing at first if you're expecting luxury, but once you get accustomed it's all fine.
comfortable, livable, stylish, yet very nicely avoids unnecessarily lavish feaures of more expensive hotels that would simply increase costs with little real beneift for the guest. Well done.
Proximity to everything, clean, private, spacious, good kitchen
Nothing really. A/C bit noisy, gym too basic but few use it
close to stration & full kitchen
bed was very poor quality for the type of hotel. moiserizers and other items were not replaced once used. water was not provided on a daily basis, only recieved 2 satchels of sugar per day, there are many more items which were of concern during our stay.
This is a great hotels for families. Good size rooms and very clean. Good value for the $$.
The location was not quite where I expected it to be.
size of room
construction work going on outside the building
A very stylish hotel that feels quite luxurious. The staff was very friendly, no wish was left unfulfilled. Given the usual prices of hotels in Manhattan, this hotel seems quite good value for the money.
You won't get a room with a view here, because the hotel part of the building is only up to and including the sixth floor. Above that, it's only long-term appartments. The platform at the top of the building was being renovated during our stay.
