Comfortable hotel and nice staff
Did exactly what it says on the tin
Beds very small
I did not eat breakfast at the hotel
The water out of the shower was totally brown for the first 2-3 minutes of my first shower. I am hoping it was rust. Space around the foot of the bed was tight but I am a bigger/taller person with bigger feet.
The location was great, right by the tourist attractions and there was a great little bar just down the road! The staff were really friendly and helpful, the bed was super comfy and the tea / coffee on the 10th floor rooftop was a nice extra!
Our main issue were the lights just weren't bright enough so we had to use the torch on our phones when getting ready in the evenings! The room was small too but I had anticipated that with it being NYC.
The location is a really strong point if you want to explore Manhattan. You are 7 minutes on foot from the Flatiron building, three blocks from a subway station and if you are able to walk for up to 40 mins you are within walking distance of virtually everything that does not require a ferry or a tunnel. I would describe the area as safe at any time of day or night: we were never hassled nor did we feel threatened by anything or anyone. There are plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance, and a supermarket and chemist just round the corner. Staff were very friendly indeed. We had issues with the noise from the air conditioning and could move rooms immediately. I celebrated my 50th in New York and we were sent a complimentary bottle of Prosecco: how cool was that! Thank you. Wifi was easy to connect to and pretty strong. There are USB ports in the room so you do not need any adapter for international travel to recharge laptops or phones. There are no restaurant facilities in the hotel itself but the top floor has a lounge with access to free coffee and tea, fruit, a microwave and a roof terrace. So you can either have your breakfast on the go, or you can buy something and have it in the lounge. This is particularly good for travellers on a budget: if you want to get a take-away meal, you can eat it in the lounge. Needless to say, there is room service if you prefer, with prices very reasonable. The hotel also arranged for very affordable transport to the airport.

Offering boutique amenities throughout each of the 136 guest rooms, the hotel provides accessible rooms, 100% cotton linens, down comforters and pillows, iHome alarm clock and docking stations, and LCD flat screen TVs.
