seriously poor elevator service on busy mornings. we actually walked down 23 flights of stairs one morning after 20 minutes of only seeing elevators that were so packed (and I mean packed) we could not get on. This was typical in the mornings.
The weekend reception staff was surly, the manager unconcerned about breakfast buffet catastrophes and she promised to follow up and did NOY
I love that the breakfast is included in the room rate. Kitchen was clean but I feel that having a good lighting would be better.
I guess lack of towels in our space.
The subway was right outside. Times Square was a few blocks away.
The hotel triple charged my debit card. This left me and my family with an overdrawn checking account on Day 2 of a 6 day vacation. The room charge was $1392.00. The hotel made 3 charges $1392.00, $1710.00, $315.00. A week later and I am still having to contact the hotel to clear up unauthorized charges. Unfortunately I’m waiting on call backs as no manager is available half of the time and I am still owed my final $315. Housekeeping sucks. I had to call for maid services up to 3 times (each call about 2-3 hours apart) to finally get my room cleaned. Management was aware of all the issues but initially lied to me about triple charging my account when she was the person who ran the charges. She also did not call back as she promised when my room had not been cleaned after 3 requests. I will give her some credit as She attempted to resolve some of the issues but she has been inefficient in her efforts. Book here but make sure you have an extra few thousand dollars on reserve in case they make a mistake. You and your family will starve to death with no money in New York. I would never stay here again.
