The hotel is unique and this is its main appeal. It’s like staying in a diorama, which has its charms.
The room smelled bad. There was a sink in the main room, on carpet, and I think the area under the sink was mildewed. It just generally didn’t feel terribly clean. It’s clear the cleaning staff did their best, but the facilities are old and in this room, not well tended. Considering how much it cost to stay there, this didn’t feel like good value.
Very Ecclectic but Convenient Hotel
The hotel was unique, centrally located in Manhattan, and was cheap for the area.
Toilets and showers are shared for the floor (like a dorm) and the rooms are literally just enough space to sleep.
