Location location location. I suppose price for where it was also.
The heating was out of control, was often boiling at 3am leading to no sleep. We had to use the aircon (it was snowing outside) Can’t imagine a summer with aircon as it’s so noisy. Staff didn’t talk to each other so I got charged an extra $100 on my cc for something I was told I wouldn’t. (which is being refunded, just inconvenient). Toilet also blocked up and flooded but they quickly fixed that.
It was remodeled nice
The hallway carpeting could use an update
Loved it how they were available for early check-in after a long night of traveling. Thank you!
The last night of my trip there was extra noise from outside... of course it was a construction going on around 2AM.. not the hotels fault but still kind of not wanting to close out on vacations that way..
Great location just off Times Square, bed was very comfy an very big, got upgraded to superior king for our honeymoon, ice machine free tea coffee when required nice staff...
Abit old fashioned could dovwith new carpet throughout and a lick of paint... Also could do with getting safety deposit boxes into bedrooms
The only good thing was location
Location. It has 3 metro lines close to it
Staff was useless. The rooms were dark and gave me allegies. The windows small and with no light.
No hot water in the shower
Other than the cold shower, we did not have any complaints.
When I went to take a shower around 11 PM, I was very disappointed to find that there was no hot water. When I mentioned this to the front desk employee upon checking out, she was very unsympathetic. This really ruined our experience at this hotel. I expected more considering the price.
The price was unbeatable. I loved the location and I was worried that it might be a typical cheap 2/3 star hotel off-Broadway but I was impressed with the updated decor and cleanliness. I also like the lounge area and the staff was amazing and extremely courteous. Even the cleaning people asked me how I was doing and if I needed anything every time I walked by! Assuming the price is right I would stay here every time.
Good value for Manhattan
Last minute stay, so I was definitely looking for something not too expensive. Since it was a Sunday night, I think i got a good deal. Not sure how expensive it is during peak times though. Close to Times Square. Room was modern and sleek, comfortable bed linens.
Shower drain didn't drain well so took a shower in two inches of water. It was just me, and I was taking a quick shower before I got on a plane, but if I had been sharing the room with others and taking multiple showers, or for a longer period of time I would have complained. it's proximity to Times Square means it's noisy during the day, but was surprisingly quiet at night. Curtains hung over the air conditioning unit, so you had to decide whether you wanted cool/white noise of the a/c unit or darkness of the curtains.
The reservation was cancelled by Tourico Travels, who relocated us to another hotel (Best Western). A bit weird but Best Western was ok and the location was perfect, two blocks from Time Square.
The fact that we were not informed about a hotel change ahead of time.
Staff really made a difference. Extremelly helpful! Than you
Great location, recently renovated, remarkably quiet, a decent value
Overall the room was very clean, but the headboard looked like someone had smashed a pot of coffee on it.
the bed. It was very big and spacious.
the space to walk around in the room was too small.
I liked the location of the hotel. It was close to Times Square and there were a number of restaurants and places to eat close by.
I didn't like the small room, the cracked tile in the bathroom and the uncomfortable bed.
clean room, efficient design
room was too small ,noisy plumbing
Location, Location, Location. Typical NY hotel, small hallways, small rooms.
The location was excellent and the desk staff were courteous. Continental breakfast was well done, however, it could have been included in the price of the room.
Had to request towels on the second night. Carpeting in the room was not clean. (many large spots near the door).
location and friendly staff
terrible smell in our room, poor breakfast and no room service
staff very helpful , loved coffee bar
the air conditioner was loud and not working very well.
Location and Rate
Slaming fire doors near our room
Bed was very uncomfortable, room way too small for the money
they put in an extra bed the enxt morning without extra charge. the coffee machine was nice, and also the availibility of internet It was in the right spot, very close to all the events
toilet flooded over. ( was repaired the same day = OK)
