Location was convenient, close to Metro station, close to the city center. Swimming pool was small, but on a nice terrace. Breakfast was good and generous. Check-out was quick and friendly.
The room was dirty, especially the bed cover, the shower curtain and the windows. The A/C was very noisy. The room was really old fashioned. The check-in was very long and unfriendly. No minibar unlike in the description, only empty fridge.
Food as well as room ambience was excellent.
The cleanliness, staff and food
Manager at main reception was having a blank dull face, he should smile and greet customers
The staff were extremely helpful at all times. The room was excellent. The breakfast was also excellent but it opened at 7.00 am which was late for us cos we were up by 5.30 am everyday. Yet the staff made it possible for us to enjoy our breakfast by speeding everything up when we got there early. We got what we wanted at breakfast. Housekeeping was also excellent. We stayed at the new part of the Hotel. The location was excellent because it was a stone throw from the Delhi Metro which is a godsend. The metro saved our holiday and we could get everything done in the days we were there. The day, night managers and all the staff need to be acknowledge for their wonderful help. Thank you hotel Swasti. We will definitely be back. Thaljit
Nothing to complain about. I can only add good things. The doorman were also excellent, etc, etc. The restaurant was Vege but some of us were non-Vege so were a bit stranded because we didn’t know where to go for non-vege food. On the second last day we found the non-vege restaurant which was just opposite the hotel which had excellent butter chicken, mutton tikka, chicken bryianni etc
The hotel was listed as the meeting point for our tour with Intrepid. Like most people our flight arrived a day before the tour started so we had to book an extra day at this hotel. There wasn't anything we liked about it except that it seemed safe.
When we arrived they told us we were'n't booked in there with no explanation. Luckily our lovely lady taxi driver (booked through booking.com who support a womans taxi charity) waited for us to try to sort it out and then took us to the other Swati hotel in Karol Bagh. Again they tried to turn us away with no explanation. We insisted and showed them our booking form. Finally they gave us a room - dirty and stinking of cigarettes. It was scary to be in this situation in Delhi at 3 am in Karol Bagh which looks really awful to the uninitiated Western traveller. The breakfast the next morning was truly horrendous and I'm sure we would have had Delhi belly if we had eaten it. There's no excuse for this because the prices are really high by Indian standards and Westerners are charged a different rate than Indians. Low standard at Euro prices. Unacceptable!
