I was never able to stay at the hotel. Kayak cancelled my reservations. Lied to me on a recorder line. Told me the hotel was closed down. I called the hotel, spoke with the manager and confirmed they were not closed down. Called Kayak back and let them know i was lied too on a recorded line and requested to speak to a manager. I was denied my request and hung up on. I called back and was denied to speak to a manager again from a different agent. I will never use Kayak again. Nor will I recommend Kayak to anyone i know. Very unprofessional. Im sure Comfort Inn is very nice. But Kayak is a joke.

Nothing, they canceled my reservation (the night before) saying the hotel was “over-booked”. They were unable to put me in another hotel. I’m getting a refund. Their customer service rep was very nice and tried to find somewhere else for me, but the whole island was full.

The staff were accommodating and friendly, the views from both the ocean side and land side were nice and the rooms were comfortable.
We were checked into a pet friendly room at first, free upgrade to ocean view. After arriving and taking a nap, we woke up to fleas in the bed. We immediately called the receptionist and packed up, they moved us pretty quickly to another room. Other than that hiccup, we enjoyed our stay there. We just don't recommend taking your pets or yourselves into the pet friendly rooms.

Upgrade to bay view means absolutely nothing
Staff was friendly enough
Not clean. Stains everywhere. On walls sheets and pillows. Noisy. I must've come at the wrong time because there was a big party going on and the music was loud.

Everything was perfect
I've stayed for a week so far in the process of a move and couldn't be any happier. The entire place is spotless and pristine. Everything at the daily breakfast has been fresh and tasty and they also always have coffee, herbal teas and lemon water available 24/7 in the lobby by the fitness center. The location is central to all OBX and even walking distance to some. Most importantly, every member of their staff from management to front desk, maintenance, housekeeping, has been above & beyond welcoming as well as incredibly informative on all things local. Would recommend to absolutely anyone from business travelers to families.
