Hotel is very nice, beautifully located overlooking the tea plantations, with an interesting interior design, clean and tidy. The pool was cleaned daily but we did not use it. Bathroom - first impression - great, so naturally, stones in the shower, water cascades, flowers, however, it was not functional - in the shower only cold water and actually we did not use it. A comfortable bed. Very nice terrace where you can relax and listen to birds singing and watch tea plantations. The owner - a fan of ecology for what a great respect to him. Restaurant with quite good food. Service always helpful.
Unfortunately, ecology and cleanliness probably ended in its area. We bought an on-site tour of the hotel, a full-day jungle jeep, and after lunch, the guide - the hotel's employee - just left the rubbish where we left off. When I wanted to take my garbage, he snatched it from my hand and said that the garbage left in them where it stands !!! I got angry at him but he was honestly surprised about what I mean! Hotel service - it was difficult to communicate in English.
The location is perfect, you couldn’t be closer to nature, surrounded by tea plantations, rainforest and waterfalls. The owner, his son and all the staff make you feel welcome as soon as you arrive. They are very attentive. Can highly recommend the day jeep safari to see so much of what the area has to offer.
The location is absolutely mind blowing - from the property you can see a valley, jungle, a tea plantation and a waterfall. The pool is also a nice feature however it’s usually too chilly to swim in. The letchmi tea estate is also next to property and a short walk away - it’s stunning. Trust me the glossy pics don’t do it justice! The rooms are clean and functional but no WiFi in the standard room we had. There’s a tv but no English channels. All in all very comfortable though and no complaints! The restaurant has a lot of options and the food tasty! I wouldn’t say it was authentic Keralite cuisine, more general Indian stuff and some western dishes. The staff are really friendly and they will look after you all day! Nice guys who double up as guides when out exploring.
As there is no village/town within walking distance - you solely rely on the resort for everything including excursions. The excursions are a bit hit and miss and hyped up. We were told we were going on a jungle safari - which cost 2000rs each for 3 hours. But it turned out to be trekking down a river with no animals. We also paid 2000rs for a jeep into town when we left (an hours drive). We were sold this on the basis that the driver would take us to some sights along the way. When we instead requested just a taxi - the owner said it would cost more (hardly likely). So we went along with it. We left early to incorporate the sights but the driver offered us to stop at the waterfall - right next to the property - which we had already visited. He then just took us to Munnar and we had a hour and a half wait for the bus!
Amazing pearl in the Munnar mountains
The peacefulness and the vista
1. Location 2. Staff 3. Cleanliness The place is exactly same as the photos. The rooms are exceptionally clean. There are many activities hosted by them, unfortunately as our stay was short we couldn't do anything except short trek to waterfall nearby. Will come back for sure.
The place is far from Munnar about 25kms away. But this worked perfectly well for us as we wanted something secluded as this one away from the hustle and bustle of the town amidst lush green forests.
