Pros: As always it is good quality and very polite and professional staff.
Pros: The location, facilities, the food and the service.
Pros: Very nice rooms, wellness spa was great, so was swimming pool. Storage for ski.
Cons: Very busy at the weekend. Staff at the spa was a bit overzealous (we were told off because we were chatting in the jacuzzi pool...) Restaurant is extremely espensive, so was the breakfast, 15 euro pp per day is really too expensive for a buffet breafast with limited hot food options. In the room the tv was a bit glitchy, and for some reason there was no waste bin...
Pros: The quality of this place exceeds your expectations . The owners and staff are so kind and attentive. The service and food is the best in Madesimo, I believe. A real treat is the breakfast, you get a very nice buffet, with delicious croissants, yogurts and a large choice of homemade marmelades - Very impressive is that you have a full choice of eggs, meats, cheese, freshly made smoothies and more, to order from a breakfast menu - And you are not limited to only one choice
Cons: That I did not have the time to stay more than two nights and that it will be 12 months before I will be back...
Pros: Very comfortable, quiet and staff went out of their way to make us feel good.
Pros: Personnell was very friendly and helpful. The structure looks as new, very clean. Free acces to wellness center with indoor swimming pool. Free parking available.
Cons: The room was very dark because of poor exposition to sunlight (one of the two windows was in front of a wall). Artificial lighting was very fainty, it would need to be improved. We experienced repeated issues with the heating system inside the room, but they explained us that it was due to some road works ongoing outside the hotel.
Pros: Clean and quiet. Helpful staff. Good start for hiking day.
Cons: View from the window on old badly maintained roof of side building.

The property’s restaurant is specialised in local and Italian cuisine, including pizza. In the heart of the Valchiavenna ski area, the hotel is 150 metres from the Lago Azzurro cable car. The border with Switzerland is a 15-minute drive away, and St. Moritz can be reached in about 1 hour.
Pros: Close to the snow track. Gently discend down the slopes and walk to your room. Nice discounts for renting my snowboard. The bed was very comfortable, the shower amazing. The room set was so nice with squirrel like lamps. The owner if very nice and accomodating.

Cons: The internet didn’t function properly throughout the hotel and is in need of upgrading.
Pros: Good bed, big room, friendly staff, good location
Pros: There is a very freindly welcome waiting for you at the EMET. The rooms are very 'roomy' We stayed only one night for skiing but the size of the room meant that it would have been comfortable for a week - not always the case. The dinner (set menu) was very tasty.
Cons: Slightly further from the ski slopes than I had calculated but we are only talking another 50 metres....
Pros: Very good shower.
Cons: The "private parking" mentioned at booking.com it's in the street, since I had a lot of luggage staying in the car, the manager provided a closed parking nearby at 15 euros/night.
Pros: The comfortable atmosphere and friendly management and staff
Cons: Water flow could have been hotter

Pros: Perfect location, friendly staff, excellent breakfast and comfortable bedrooms. Thank you!
Pros: Excellent location, very comfortable room, excellent breakfast and very friendly staff
Pros: Position, breakfast, staff, everything else.
Cons: Room furnitures very old in particular the bathroom.
Pros: We stayed at Hotel La Meridiana over Christmas with family of differing ages and it suited all of us perfectly. It is one of those wonderful Italian family run hotels which take you back to how holidays used to be - if you like corporate, characterless hotels don't stay here - its old fashioned ( in the best way) and Andrea and his team strike that difficult balance of modesty, warmth, professionalism, friendliness and perfect service. They worked extremely hard to make our stay enjoyable from breakfast service right through to running the bar in the evening. We prebooked taxis through Andrea to pick us up from Chiavenna and the taxis were immaculate and 100% reliable. The food was really good - breakfast included delicious buttery scrambled eggs with thin crispy pancetta - great pastries, fruit, cold meats and cheese and decent coffee. The dinners were great- a range of local and regional Italian dishes - Christmas eve was splendid and very special. Local wines were well priced and delicious but they also had lots of other Italian wines to choose from. There is plenty of space in the hotel to relax and play card games etc - its in the centre of the village so easy to go shopping before dinner in some of the fabulous shops. There is a great ski hire place which gives the hotel a discount and the bubble car makes it easy to get from the boot room to the slopes in no time- even my mother could get up to Larici every day for lunch on the sunny terrace and could enjoy the mountains. The rooms were comfortable and warm; the bathrooms well lit. The hotel is spotlessly clean. We used the spa 3 times and loved it.For people who complain about paying extra its not much and if it was included you'd just be paying more for something you may not use. I visited this hotel 9 years ago when we stayed elsewhere and came in for a drink- back then I loved the atmosphere (full of Italians) and had aimed to stay one day- this year it didn't disappoint. Grazie mille!
Pros: Cleanliness, decoration of the room, location.
Cons: small room
Pros: Cannot fault Hotel Capriolo. Excellent staff, friendly, helpful, speak good english. Lovely area. Very clean and comfortable. Very good food also. Nice open airy room with own verandah. Very handy to all facilities in town, cable car, river, bus stops, supermarket, pharmacy, resturaunts etc.
Pros: The atmosphere.. the cleaningness.. the warm welcome.. the rooms
Cons: The mattress was too hard.. but it's only a matter of taste! Also, at breakfast time, it would be better to have a different cup for cereals and for coffee... and forks/knives :)

Pros: Location , very silence place .
Cons: Breakfast only till 9,30 am
Pros: Breakfast OK Evening meal ok, but too expensive compared to quality Good shuttle service
Cons: Cold in restaurants Old inventory Not very cosy rooms Far too expensive compared to quality
