Fantastic staff at a very difficult time
Friendly and relaxed owner, Great location, close to ski lifts and town centre. A good base for a couple of nights
The Hotel is very tired and basic, has poor sound insulation so can be noisy if people are in adjacent rooms.
Hotel location is great, only a few minutes walk to the super Morzine lift and 5 minutes to the town centre. Staff were very warm and welcoming. Great views from the windows and balcony. Good buffet breakfast, everything you need to prepare yourself for the mountain. 3 course evening meals were good. We stayed 10 days and didn’t have the same meal twice, which was good as other hotels I’ve stayed at for 10 days had a 7 days meal rotation so ended up have the same meals again from 8-10 days. Stayed in a twin room and the single beds were surprisingly comfortable and had a great night sleep.
The twin room we had was very cramped and there wasn’t much room to put your snowboarding kit, but we managed once we had rearranged a couple bit of furniture. There are no boot dryers at the hotel, so I would suggest you take boot dryers that you can warm on the radiator in the room to dry your boots. There are only 2 plug sockets in the room and one is taken by the tv, the other is by the side of one the beds which is fine if you’re in that bed, but not if you’re in the other as phone charger leads won’t reach if you want to use your phone and charge at the same time. I personally have a lot of GoPro kit so need access to a few sockets. It wasn’t too much of an issue in the end as we went to the Spar shop in the centre and bought a €6 three socket extension lead which did the trick.
Good location, decent breakfast, plenty hot water. We were allowed to keep our room until 4pm on day of departure, much appreciated.
Property has not had minimal investment or even maintenance for a long time and is decidedly 'tired'. Some simple and inexpensive fixes would have helped considerably: showerhead incompatible with riser bar so had to be hand held; curtains held up by string; plug lever in wash hand basin disconnected
