There was little to like but we liked the location.
We had a reservation for 4 nights and were upset to check into our room and find stains on the headboard, curtains, table, in the bathtub and on the upholstered chairs. We stayed in room 402. The king sized bed consisted of two twins: one that was taller than the other; the shorter and softer one dipped down in the middle and caused back pain. However, the absolute worst part of the experience was the hotel staff. One evening we asked for a spoon at the front desk, the agent said they didn't have any so we asked for a fork instead. The agent came back with a spoon telling us it was dirty but we could wash it ourselves. Gross. Another point we called down for an iron (there are no irons or coffee in the rooms) and were told that one would be brought up. After waiting for a while we called to check on the status of the iron and during the call the staff informed us that actually, we would have to come down and get it ourselves. My husband is a native Spanish speaker and I am fluent so this was not a misunderstanding. Also, we were offered a bottle of champagne at check in and since our hands were full with luggage (no one offered to help us) we asked that they send the champagne up to the room; that never happened. If I were Wyndham, I would be embarrassed to have my name on this property / service.
nothing the elevator was crammed, everything is old. parking is bad. No coffee in the room. Breakfast eggs were something i cannot believe would be served.
The rooms were spacious and the staff at reception were always friendly. They always were willing to fix problems.
There were many details that were not good. The air conditioning in our room broke down repeatedly, the curtains and a stool in our room was stained. The breakfast buffet looked good, but nothing really tasted good. The sauna did not work, but it got repaired.
Good location, within walking distance of the old city. Staff were not super friendly but they were generally helpful.
Rooms smelled of mould. I asked to move and the second room smelled less, but it wasn't great. The AC (which I used for heating) emitted black particles - maybe the filters need cleaning? Breakfast had the potential to be really good but dishes weren't replenished, it was hard to find cups and cutlery, etc. The whole hotel felt really tired.
Location is excellent however because it is in the center of town there is a lot of homeless people in the area including at least 2 living right in front of the hotel who are constantly bugging you for money.
The breakfast was horrible. After the first day we ended up paying for breakfast at a restaurant around the corner. Cleanliness was lacking. The maids only clean on the surface. Our bathtub had a ring around it and it looks like it hasn't been thoroughly cleaned for months. The staff did not clean our room on the 24th or the 25th of December Bc they were on holiday. When my child spilled chips on the floor, the maid only picked up the visible chips not the ones around our bed, night table, suit cases. I would not stay there again.
