This hotel was advertised as having a view. I assumed a view of the bay. The view was of a parking garage and noisy road! Very deceptive! Management refused to put us in a different room because we used Kayak.

Pros (+) Most of the rooms in the hotel have a view looking toward the beach and boat harbor (like ours). We enjoyed listening to the waves crash on the beach at night, mixed in with the distant barking of the sea lions/seals and sounds of the sea gulls. Breakfast was continental (fruit, pastries, yogurt, coffee, juice) served directly to the room. Room looked recently renovated and was in great condition.
Cons (-) Parking is an extra charge, and the spots are small (pretty standard for California). It was absolutely fine for us (small 5 passenger car), but if you have a standard car you should be fine, but if you have a truck it will be difficult to park. Hotel is wood frame construction, and you could occasionally hear people walking in the room above us.

Pros (+) The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There was a rooftop hot tub for everyone. Complimentary breakfast in bed. Spacious and nice bathroom. Beautiful views. You could see sea otters from your balcony.
