This hotel was advertised as having a view. I assumed a view of the bay. The view was of a parking garage and noisy road! Very deceptive! Management refused to put us in a different room because we used Kayak.

Pros (+) Most of the rooms in the hotel have a view looking toward the beach and boat harbor (like ours). We enjoyed listening to the waves crash on the beach at night, mixed in with the distant barking of the sea lions/seals and sounds of the sea gulls. Breakfast was continental (fruit, pastries, yogurt, coffee, juice) served directly to the room. Room looked recently renovated and was in great condition.
Cons (-) Parking is an extra charge, and the spots are small (pretty standard for California). It was absolutely fine for us (small 5 passenger car), but if you have a standard car you should be fine, but if you have a truck it will be difficult to park. Hotel is wood frame construction, and you could occasionally hear people walking in the room above us.

Pros (+) The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There was a rooftop hot tub for everyone. Complimentary breakfast in bed. Spacious and nice bathroom. Beautiful views. You could see sea otters from your balcony.
Pros (+) The hotel was fantastic. The view from the forth floor spa was outstanding. The hotel is located just off cannery row to be quiet and comfortable, but we'll witching walking distance to all attractions.

Cons (-) Mandatory $10 fee for a five year old to get a $2 crummy breakfast -we ended up paying for a breakfast at the Monterey Inn down the street instead. The place needs a power washing! Gull excrement all over the place and not enough nets to prevent them from hanging out to poop

Pros (+) I enjoy staying here...hot tube on top floor where you can see Monterey. Comfortable stay and always clean. Definitely staying here again.
Pros (+) No crowds at the end of Cannery Row, and close enough to walk to any style restaurant or pub, shopping, etc.
Cons (-) Very slightly disappointed there weren't Bluetooth speakers to plug into for music, however the soothing sounds of the ocean water washing against the rocks below our balcony was much more enjoyable!
Pros (+) Hotel was a nice location next to the quieter side of Cannery Rd. So we thought the construction across the street ruined the Bay watching during the day, We were gone most of the day. But other than that everything was wonderful!
