We were very pleasantly surprised - the hotel was much nicer than we had expected for such a reasonable room rate. The hotel is superbly located in the village - right beneath the castle and looking across to the river. (There's a free car park across the road, so no need to navigate narrow streets either!) The staff were all really friendly, the room was nice enough, clean and warm, and the restaurant was brilliant. (Massive portions and good selection. Good breakfasts too.) We stayed for three days and used the hotel as a base to explore the area - had a fabulous time and would thoroughly recommend anyone to stay there.
We thought the hotel was excellent.

The setting was superb, right beside the Dordogne. The Chateau above the hotel was a real highlight along with the gardens at Murreasyac? amazing buxus huge garden.
The food/ menu could be more quality less quantity.

What a delightful place and great little hotel. Highly recommend the restaurant in the hotel - after eating there on the first night we did not eat anywhere else during our stay. Our room looked over the Dordogne River and up towards the chateau on the cliffs above.

the bed was comfortable. The room had a balcony which was shared but still nice to look out onto.
we booked a budget room and didn't realise that this meant 'budget' as in old and scruffy. the loo was separate from the shower and hand wash basin and as you lay in bed you looked at both cubicles. The loo door didn't close properly and the shower/washbasin cubicle did not have a door. The staircase leading up to the room was in need of decoration to the point where the wall paper was black.

The helpfulness of Christophe and Sarissa, the managers. The food was excellent in the restaurant. We also loved the hotel location and the availability of parking near the hotel.
