Pros: The hotel included nice restaurants that provided delicious food and great service. Rooms were of decent size and the location was within walking distance of the main shopping area.
Cons: In short, we were placed in the first room on level 8 that had blood stains on the curtains. We requested to change the room and were able to, but the hotel didn't recognize or acknowledge our concerns. The second room on the same level had further stains on the blinds and carpets that make you realize that this is a party hotel for "schoolies" and not adults, couples or a family retreat.
Pros: Location was in the city near the heart of town
Cons: I was staying at the hotel and thought it would be nice to have some appetizers and a drink at the bar in the lobby, after I ordered a security officer came up to me and said hats were not allowed in the bar after 7pm. I had never been in this bar so I had no idea of a dress code at it was 7:15 so I wasn't really formally dressed for an evening just yet because I had spent the day on the beach. I am an executive at my company, I am usually always dressed well but that day I had board shorts a t shirt and a hat. I explained to security I was simply going to pay for my drinks and go upstairs when he left onto the bar, put his arm down and said "it's simlple mate you can either take it off or I'll do it for you"
I was so taken back; I'm staying in a 5 star hotel and never expected to be threatened physically by a member of their staff.
I immediately responded with that's not the way to talk to people, I approached the reception and asked for the GM... The GM was not on so an assistant manager was the acting duty manager.
As I'm explaining to the Asst Manager I was so distraught by the school yard bully approach of a corporate prestigious hotel that the manager himself could tell it wasn't appropriate what there security had done. I look over at the bar area near the hotel lobby and the security is standing outside with a smirk on his face staring me down followed by putting his hands up in a threatening gesture. I asked the manager if he felt that tactic was appropriate given the situation and he agreed it was wrong and offered me free drink ticket.
The last thing on my mind was having a drink inside the bar where the own staff seem to be out of control.
Aside from many other things I felt were very lacking in this hotel that was enough for me to want to leave, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my enemies.
Pros: nice place, good staff
Cons: hot water didn't work, couldnt have a proper shower

Pros: This property represented the brand name wonderfully. The room was clean and the bed comfortable as I've experienced at all of the properties. Gentleman at front desk Raj is the consummate professional who was very knowledgable on both the property and the area, I expect that he'll be in management training program in the near future.
Cons: I have no complaints to report.
Cons: Needs a freshen up and not quite a 5 star luxurious Sofitel experience you'd expect.
The Hotel is a little tired and I have stayed in nicer Sofitels.

Cons: Being given room on level 1 with not much of a view when we booked room well in advance which was very dispointing
Pros: I have stayed at several 4 and 5 star hotels and I this a beautiful place and the apartment options are great. I really enjoyed the view and the proximity to the beach.
Cons: I have never in my life been tried like a 2nd class citizen (at a hotel) until I came here. The staff was not friendly didn't answered my questions and I had to ask for things more than once. I will never stay there again unless someone else is paying.

Pros: Received an amazing upgrade to a massive room which I wasn't expecting but VERY much appreciated! Pity it was only 1 night.
The room was great, balcony, massive bathroom. Bed was great, had a desk as well. Couldn't fault it. The tram is right outside this place so very convenient.
Cons: Not really sure what was in the area but I had a car and was going to meet a friend. Saw the gas station across the road to grab bits and bobs from.
Cons: location was further away from the main surfers paradise beach

Pros: Whilst initially we were given a room that hadn’t been made up (housekeeping made a mistake and confirmed the room had been cleaned when in fact it had) however the lovely girl at reception quickly rectified the situation and also gave us a free upgrade. Our room faced the beach and was an absolute stunning view.
Cons: This is not something that worries us but it should be known that the nightclub music can be heard till all hours in the morning (even on the 24th floor where we were.
Pros: The hotel was close to downtown and the beach. Rooms were a decent size and fairly comfortable. Nice blinds blocked out the sun.
Cons: The room wasn't the cleanest. I was on the 20th floor and music from the nightclub below was still pretty loud.
Pros: The staff at concierge and reception desks - really helpful.
Cons: Finding hairs in my bathtub when I walked in..
Pros: Really good position, doorstep from Hard Rock Cafe and central road, few minutes walk from the beach
Cons: Wi-fi is not included, you have to pay for it
The aircon wasn't working and they fixed it the 3rd day we were there
Cons: Could not connect to wifi.
Pros: Great location. Only 1 block from the beach and 1 block from main shopping street.
Cons: The bathrooms we're grosse. This hotel is 3 star.
Pros: Convenience to everything
Cons: I don't like when the manger came to my room 2 nights and asking me is everything ok I ask him why you keep coming and asking that
Pros: We really enjoyed staying at this hotel.
Location, rooms, facilities and staff were great .
Cons: Honestly there is nothing I can complain about that.
Pros: the rooms are nice and big. the staff are friendly
Pros: Location was eecellent .. very close to beach, shopping, etc .. in centre of Surfer's
Cons: room was dated and in need of refurb. clean but not fantastic
Pros: My room was on floor 34, and i had a grate ocean view.Hotel was located beside cavil avenue, a good shopping center.

Pros: proximaty to the beach and the main avenue of surfers paradise
Cons: the seafood tower which they promote was very poor and nothing like advertised
Pros: the position of the hotel and the people working there were very friendly
Cons: room smelt when you walked in. funny odour in the rooms
Pros: Close proximity to beach and Cavill Avenue.
Cons: The lifts are useless - long waits (up to 10 MINUTES) for a lift to stop on our floor. Had to resort to walking down the fire exit more than once.
Pros: Spacious Room; Sea facing though not direct beach facing; Comfortable king sized bed
Cons: Parking was a bit pricey and no dedicated lots for hotel guests; Lack of seafood buffet dinner
Pros: it was located in a very convenient location, even with a car. The main Cavill Avenue was just located right outside the doorstep, shopping, eating and bars were just around the corner. very impressive. Parking was also a breeze and they had a weekly rate of only A$30.
Cons: Two main lifts broke down the arvo we were there, and waiting for the lift during peak hours (morning and evenings) were a bit agonising, especially if one's hungry.
Pros: near from the beach, in the midle of the shoping area
Pros: spa, concierge service was very good, staff friendliness and helpfulness, housekeeping service,
