Pros: What a great find. We had a really lovely stay there. Wonderful staff, beautiful riad with tradional furniture ithroughout, including in the reception, restaurant & bedrooms,; our bedroom was v comfortable with ensuite with hot shower - bliss. It was offseason & v quiet the day we arrived & Hassan let us choose our room which was an added bonus. There are a number of lovely terraces & we ate one night up there. We also had tea there as well as when we arrived, accompanied by yummy biscuits. Also to my husband's delight they were able to procur a beer/wine which he was really longing for after a full day sighseeing (we loved Voulibis & Molay Idriss by the way) All in all a great place to stay - thanks for all the help & exceptional service, Hassan.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Welcome by staff and owners, food, finding us wine & the riaf decor and ambiance.
Cons: Nothing.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The inside of the Riad was truly beautiful. Our room (the family suite) was spectacular - One Thousand and One Nights level decoration, and very comfortable. The layered terrace was incredibly beautiful, with lots of plants, and safe for children to roam around in. Breakfast was the best we had in Morocco. The riad has games (eg puzzles) for children which helped the transition times while everyone was getting ready to go out or rest time for parents.
Cons: The location is right next to one of the side entrance doors to the medina, in front of the zoo. There is a public parking nearby. Location is not exceptional - there are some narrow medina streets with not much light and few people. However, 2-3 min out you enter a main street and from there it's not too far from the main square where the evening market and restaurants are- it is about a 10-15 min walk. The hotel needs to get its credit card policy right. When we booked, the hotel was advertised as accepting credit cards. No extra charges were mentioned. After the booking, we received an information email which said that the hotel would charge extra 3% for credit card payment. I did not see the email as we were traveling. When it was time to pay the hotel first tried to resist payment by credit card and when we insisted it tried to charge us the extra 3%, which we refused to pay out of principle. The hosts were clearly offended by it. It all turned a great experience into a bit of a sour ending.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was near the medina, but not inside, so we could easily reach our car for making trips around the area. Rooms are comfortable the roof is a good place to hang out. The people are very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Probably for reasons the hotel can’t do anything about sometimes you smell a touch of sewer. The big room downstairs was not appealing to us. Too dark. We sat on the roof all the time.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Quiet spot where you get to experience local life. Hassan was most helpful and made our stay outstanding.
Cons: Room highly decorated
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was fabulous on the terrace upstairs. The staff were wonderful. Dinner was excellent. The responsiveness was fantastic as well. We had a lovely stay!
Cons: Getting receipts took a long time, and some of the room facilities could use a bit of a refresh. But overall, it was wonderful! Thank you!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We had a great stay here - lovely room, wonderful roof terrace and delicious breakfasts. We ate dinners here too - perfectly cooked traditional food. All the staff were really welcoming and helpful. We loved this beautiful Riad - the best we stayed in on our trip.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Riad was clean, comfy and nothing was to much to ask for. Our room was large and accommodated our family of 4 easily. Would happily stay here again when in Meknes.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The riad is at the edge of the Medina, so easy to find. The rooms are very well appointed and attractive, and the bed was very comfortable. The terrace on the roof of the riad is very nice, a great place to relax and have breakfast and dinner. The food was very good at the The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Because the riad is at the edge of the Medina, it is a short walk to all the main attractions.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. Hot water and large rooms. Plenty of common areas. We were provided with a heater as was quiet cool at night. Excellent staff and breakfast was great! The evening set menu at the restaurant was excellent. Mohammed provided perfect service.
Cons: All great
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, so easy to come back and forth to the riad. Close to bakery and shops. Super nice staff, really lovely. The food at their restaurant was amazing, European flair to the menu. We are vegetarians and they made us a special veggie tagine which was cooked traditionally on the gas and tasted great! You must it there! The room was very spacious and was good, we had a heater as well as we were there the end of November so it was a little chilly. Thanks
Cons: My only negative point would be the bed was like a rock, it felt like we were sleeping on the floor it was that hard. But apart from that it was flawless!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Roog sweet with balcony is exelent.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The place is beautifully and tastefully decorated, with a fantastic terrace and incredible view from and great areas to sit and relax. We didn't use the pool because it was too cold, but it looked clean. I can't speak to how the air conditioning would be in a hotter season, but for us in November the room had two different heaters (though one was a bit loud) and we were plenty warm. It was nice and quiet at night. The location was great, easy to find using Google maps or to have someone meet you at Bab Mansour. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was always served professionally and promptly. The breakfast was better than the typical Moroccan standard. There was bread and jam, of course, but also a bowl of fruit, some different pancake style breads, and eggs baked with tomatoes and olives. We had dinner one night for €15/person and it was a multiple course meal, tasty with fairly small portions. Worth trying for sure but a bit pricy for us.
Cons: The bed was quite hard. The whole place had a faint but pervasive musty odor, almost like cat urine and the surfaces in the room were a bit dusty. People with strong allergies may want to avoid. The bathroom needed some repairs to be sure. The toilet was leaking water out the back. The shower didn't drain well so we were standing in water up to our ankles by the time we were finished showering. The water heating system was badly regulated so that the water did not maintain a set temperature but cycled between lukewarm and scalding hot, which made for an uncomfortable and potentially dangerous shower. The staff were friendly but perhaps not entirely honest. When we enquired about trips to Volubilis and Moulay Idriss, we were offered a private taxi for 500 MAD ($50), which seemed a bit much to us. After walking to the grand taxi stand, we received multiple offers of the same route but with more time to see the sights for 250 MAD...a $25 mark-up for the convenience of having someone call for you! So there seems to be a bit of a commission racket going on. Not exactly new for Morocco, but disappointing to encounter in an otherwise professional seeming place. The other thing that was mildly annoying was being charged extra for the "welcome tea" and the tea we had with dinner. The first was given seemingly as a gesture of hospitality and wasn't really framed in a way we felt like we could turn down without being rude (as in, "Here, sit down and rest and drink a tea. Welcome!") Also, €15 each and no drink included? Really? My problem in the end isn't the amount being charged but the underhandedness of it. It's very poor business practice to offer a set menu at a set price, ask what the client would like to drink but NOT offer any kind of menu or price list for that service, and then charge for it. A bit of advice to the owners, most American travelers will very much resent this kind of behavior.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The rooftop terraces were absolutely wonderful to explore and relax on. We have stayed in many Riad's and while each one is fantastic in their own way, the grandness of the Riad D'Or's was truly exceptional. In addition to the terraces, the hidden courtyards and meandering walkways were quite the joy to get lost in. Navigating to find your room, reception or the restaurant was like having your own private medina.
Cons: As a digital nomad, having access to internet is essential and while the rooms did have wifi - it wasn't on 24/7 and would disconnect whenever I would leave my room.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The interior design was stunning and the roof terrace(s) were beautiful with a stunning rooftop view of the city.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This is a special place to spend a night in. The riad is elaborately decorated. The place probably classifies as a historical landmark. Staff were very friendly and made us feel welcomed. Nice view from the top terrace. They also serve food here and their dinner menu is definitely worth it. Breakfast was very good as well.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful Riad in the old medina. Everything was great, from the beautiful rooms to the rooftop view, wonderful breakfast and good diner. The staff is awsome, super friendly, helpfull and they speak English, Spanish and French. A special thanks to Mohammed and Mustapha, who did everything to make us feel welcome and at ease. I will return when I come back to Meknès!!
Cons: I can’t say anything bad about this place.

9,6 Excellent

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were lovely. A very relaxing place and had heating in the bathroom
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful owners and staff, obviously have put a lot of work into this nice old place. Full of character, nice views off the terrace. Catered to special dietary needs at breakfast.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The owner was not there when we arrived due to a sudden death in the family. Very understandable. The person standing in at reception only spoke Arabic. Thankfully another guest was able to show us to our room. The breakfast was basic but OK. What makes this great value for money is the location. Right on the edge of the Medina, close to taxis and easy to find.
Cons: Poor security. Room lock was a joke and wouldn't keep out the cat let alone a thief. No front door key and to gain entry you needed slim fingers and a pen. Thieves could figure that out as well. The electric heater had a sensitive thermostat and would turn off every few seconds, annoying and noisy. No soap or toilet paper in the room. The owner didn't want people to pay by credit card and insisted we pay by cash but she used a bad exchange rate for MAD. She added 10% to the posted exchange rate that day but I refused and offered the going rate. She accepted.
7,9 Good
Pros: Beautiful loft room on ground floor. We were worried about noise from reception and breakfast area but it turned out that it was deadly quiet in the morning! Great breakfast - we love the local flat bread!
Cons: It was a little dark in the room.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location was fantastic.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Old riad in which the owners have put a lot of work into. It is not modern and is just what i expected. The women are friendly and helpful, although there is no english spoken. Broken french was adequate.
Cons: All good

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very elegant maison in a perfect traditional style. The location is exceptional - easy to find, only 3 min from Bab Mansur. The staff is very professional and also very kind. it has been very touching to see the pictures of the restoration of the place. They testify that the owners kept original features of the Riad.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: So much character to the place. I think we had the best rooms which were spacious and stylish - but we poked our heads round the doors of the smaller rooms and they were still large. We stayed in one night, bought in snacks and played games in the lounge area of our room - the staff saw we had bought wine and gin, so brought us some glasses and ice. We had a good time in Meknes and I'm sure a large part of that was having a lovely place to stay.
Cons: Not much! I guess the locks on the bedroom doors are a little tricky as they looked like the original doors - but easy enough to operate once you mastered them.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic hosts. Very attentive and even did some laundry for us. Beautiful decor. Very close to the Place el-Hedim where we ate most of the time and enjoyed the entertainment. Would highly recommend this riad.
Cons: Not a complaint but just a suggestion - a bedside lamp would have been greatly appreciated

The breakfast was good and in general we were very satisfied by the riad and our room, the location and the hospitality. Totally value from money.
Cons: The shower in the bathroom needs fixing, also the air conditioning isn't working properly. Check the filters. I also didn't quite like the behaviour of the woman ( probably the owner) that was shouting at the staff in front of us while we were having breakfast. Very unprofessional.

Pros: Good breakfast
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We initially had a room on the roof that was private and secluded. On the second night we were upgraded to an exceptional room on the first level. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Internet was good throughout the Riad. Good laundry service. Parking was nearby so no problems moving bags to and from.
Cons: No negatives for the property. Would however include a word of caution for guests about cafe Mig Mag near the main gate. Both my partner and I were struck with gastro after eating there.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very attentive
Cons: All good
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous riad in an excellent location near the main square in Meknes. Welcoming and friendly staff answered every question we had. Wonderful communal spaces, including lots of outside spots, with chairs and small nooks scattered around the riad.
Cons: Mattresses were rock hard - this is the main reason I was glad that we only stayed one night, as I found it almost impossible to sleep. The rooms aren't as comfortable as the communal areas, so it would be nice to give the rooms a bit more love.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Ryad Bahia was a great place to stay; with a surprising amount of green-space tastefully incorporated into its decor and throughout its three main levels, the riad seemed more like an oasis, a place to get away from the blazing sun and relax. The staff and food were excellent and I felt right at home. If you can get a room on the top floor terrace go for it.

Pros: Friendliness, cleanliness, amenities, luxury. A walkable, green roof landscape = oasis. Absolutely legendary!
Cons: Nothing!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: So beautiful!
Cons: Don’t have key to front door so if you stay out late you must call them to open. But we didn’t have a phone with service in Morocco to call so come back to the room earlier than we planned

Pros: For this price, nothing.
Cons: Our room was propably never used by other costumers because there were NO WINDOWS, it smells unfresh, the toilet was not working, the shower was working only sometimes, the WiFi was working only near the kitchen (far away from our room and far away from che common areas). The second night we went to sleep outiside, in the garden, because the bed was full of BED BUGS! And nobody cares about it. The morning after i had more that 100 BITES and i had to go to a farmacy! The owner was not friendly and helpfull at all! For 50€ a night is unacceptable.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The riad is big and pittoresque, the rooms are big and beautiful You can eat a full meal , lunch or dinner and the food is really good !
Cons: It was September and it looked like we were the only ones in the riad at this time .. maybe it was just the « off season » relief , but sometimes it felt like we were kind of not welcomed.. the riad was not well presented , like everything was on « break mode » . It’s somehow not fair for the ones who decide to travel after the tourists rush in summer time. However, I believe that this riad is a great place to stay ! The breakfast was the best I had in Morocco and the garden and deco was really enjoyable !
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location and wonderful building. A perfect place to relax in Meknes if the welcome had been more welcoming.
Cons: The whole experience was marred by the rather unpleasant nature of one member of staff. Supper was really minimal and left us hungry after a day's travel. Breakfast was planned for 8h15 - 8h30 and was not ready until 8h55.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: I loved in particular the decor of the ancient building. We felt very much at home and enjoyed the good food and the friendly staff.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Spacious rooms.
6,7 Good
Pros: Big room. Lovely pool. Excellent breakfast. Quirky asthetic. Quiet. Staff very sweet.
Cons: Manager/owner professional but not friendly or welcoming. Little to no English. WiFi only in one room far from any comforts. Shabby. Needs some simple DIY. Awkward, atypical Riad layout. Lots of stairs, not offer to help carry luggage. Had to ask.

Pros: Nice view from room looking down into the swimming pool. Hotel easy to locate close to highway.
Cons: Beds are small, only twin size fits one person, somehow I was into assumption it was a queen size when I did the reservation. Shower head has clogged holes. no iron is available inside the rooms, and I was surprised to see no one receiving guests at the door or help with luggage for a four stars hotel.
2,9 Mediocre
Cons: Dirty. Also the staff are not friendly at all. Sometimes not even polite
7,1 Good
Pros: The staff.

Pros: Rachit and the rest of the staff is amazing. Ready to help in anything you need. He is always smiley and helpful. He made our stay even better just being around.

Pros: Great location and was simple enough to find by following th signs in the medina. Very easy check in, beautiful building and a lovley breakfast buffet.
Cons: The beds were very hard and the bedding was a bit lacking. They have put urinal tablets in the shower trays which stunk out the room if the bathroom door was left open.
