Everything was fine and everything was very clean. No issues with anything except for the proposed UPGRADE. I was asked to sign a form saying I agreed with the upgrade which I did. When I arrived at my room reception called and said I did not sign the upgrade form for use of Lounge on 10th floor which has an additional charge. I said I did not need the lounge and I was then told "You are banned from using the lounge". Not a problem as far as I was concerned for lounge access
The description of room was City Bay View King Room. There was absolutely no view of the bay and only a view from 10th floor looking over a concrete slab and the swimming pool off to the side. That was disappointing as I thought Bay view meant exactly that. "A view of the Bay!" There was a major hiccup when checking out regarding my vehicle. When I checked in I left my vehicle with valet and asked if they had car parking available, "yes but there is a valet charge, not a problem", I said. I was given a ticket by the valet stating "complementary car parking". Which had vehicle information and description on it. That was all fine. When I checked out I asked for my vehicle, gave the attendant the "complementary car parking ticket" which had license plate number and vehicle description on it and went to reception to check out and pay the charges. An attendant then came to me and asked for my "Valet Ticket". I said I gave that to reception but the attendant said no "That is not the valet ticket, we need ticket presented to you upon arrival". I never received anything other than "complementary car park" and luggage ticket given me by attendant when they removed by luggage from the vehicle to delivered to room. I was then told I need to pay for a "Lost ticket" charge which was P 300 plus the P200 Valet fee. I was then asked to present "proof of ownership of the vehicle" because I did not have the valet ticket, however I did have the complementary car park ticket, which I stated before had all information regarding vehicle. What a headache! My vehicle arrived and I left. Other than that incident by valet staff, who in my opinion where looking for "extra money" all was fine!
Everything was as expected and advertised.
The bathroom so spacious and great
Not really dont like but they need to improved their breakfast.
location and room
staff - they always wanted to charge guests
Hotel is very old, but still well maintained. Rooms are very spacious. The shower area in the bathroom is also very spacious and very different from other hotels. Service in general is good. I had one issue at the beginning of my stay, but it was dealt with very professionally by the hotel team! Location wise, it is just a few minutes walk from Robinson's shopping mall. Also for our work we had to be in several offices that were walking distance from the hotel. For the rest not much to do there, for us it was perfect.
In general everything in the hotel is very highly priced. Beverages are 2.5 times the price of the same beverage in a upscale restaurant close to the hotel. I had a treatment in the spa. Besides the fact that the treatment rooms are really huge with a fully separate bathroom and separate toilet attached to it, it is in desperate need of refurbishment. Also the treatment was very basic. For a one hour treatment I paid 2.5 times the price of what you pay in a reputable massage salon walking distance from the hotel for a 2 hour treatment, so 5 times the price!
