Location was excellent with easy access to all the sights and restaurants. The staff were attentive and the rooms very comfortable. Breakfast was good, too.
The only down side is that there was no air conditioning so we had to have the windows open as it was 34C during the day so the room was hot. Unfortunately in a big city you are going to have noise with open windows. There was a fan but it just blew the heat about. Just a warning too, there is no elevator so getting up and down the stairs may be an issue for some people. It didn't bother us, we only had light luggage and we loved the hotel.
Lovely location. Helpful staff. Great breakfast.
Location location location! If you’re in Lyon for a short time best to stay within this location. It’s beautiful and easy access to everything.
The noise from the street and the fact that there was no air con.
Location. Spacious room. Good breakfast. Nice view if you stay in one of the rooms facing the Theatre.
There is no elevator. We climbed the staircase up to the 4th floor.
The room was clean. Staff were pleasant and polite.
I guess it's my own fault for not checking when I booked, but I don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel without air conditioning before - the room, though clean and well kept, was an OVEN. The supplied ventilator fan was of course not sufficient when outside temperatures of close to 40 Celcius were reached. The lack of an elevator wasn't such a problem for me personally, but I can imagine other people would find this prohibitive. For the price, I think one is better off spending a little bit more and choosing another hotel, at least in the summer time.
