Pros: - Spacious room - incredible tv - exceptional welcome and checking in - fascinating lake view - breakfast was varied - over the top luxurious - wonderful experience

Cons: - the bath tub was clogged - no coffee machine in the room - no egg chef which is a must In most luxurious hotels - overpriced but for a good reason

Pros: The staff were so friendly, polite and attentive. The room was delightfully comfortable and the view of the lake and mountains is still with us!

Pros: Watching the moon reflection on the lake, as we dtrank a glass of wine in the Hotel bar - beautiful.

Pros: I like the actual residence, the fact that it was an old palace, the location has one of the most beautiful views.

Cons: I did not appreciate the greeting that I had at the reception. The woman on the desk was very dry and unhelpful. I had to remind them that I have an LHW card and am entitled to certain priviledges.

Pros: the hotel was excellent from every aspect, each of the staff from the porter till the front desk manager were very kind and excellent. It is exceptional hotel

Cons: the only thing is if wireless wifi was available for free of charge instead or with the LAN connection

Pros: The conceirge was excellent and informative about things to do and to see that are not in the guide books

Cons: The breakfast for a 5 star hotel was a little flat. We were charged for our hire car being put away; the driveway to the hotel is narrow, nearly always congested, and is on a very steep bank. We agreed to it being put away to save the staff (or us) the hassel of parking in so difficult a place; we didn't need the car for a days or so and accepted the suggestion made by them - it should have been made plain to us at that time there was a charge of 30 CHFa day. The receptionist at check out was dismissive and didn't take this suggestion on board.

Pros: The staff were very polite and helpful. Was exceptional value for money. Not too far to walk the centre of town and the station. The pool was also lovely.

Cons: Pool is a bit small. Very limited english language TV - not that we used it much but it would have been nice to have something to watch other than tedious CNN.

Pros: They had a great breakfast with an excellent selection and the bartender in their bar was very nice. They even loaned me a tea pot to use in my room for two nights. Also the view is beautiful.

Pros: Very clean, super convenient location if you arrive by train (3min walk), quite stylish design, spacious, nice view from the balcony, great breakfast and very nice staff

Cons: The air was a bit dry and it was too hot despite turning the heater down, it was a great stay, nonetheless

Pros: We loved the location. It made it easy to visit Lugano. Our room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was perfect and a great way to start our day. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

Pros: From the different hotels I’ve stayed in Lugano within this budget, this has been the best overall. Great suggestions from the bartender Giuseppe. Take the chance to try their house wine, especially during happy hour if you can.

Pros: location is perfect if you comme by train (and also in general as you can reach the city center by cable car). The building is very nice with nice view on the lake. The breakfast room is ample and with open view and the breakfast is good.

Cons: We booked a double room but the bed was 2 single mattresses pushed together that slid apart during the night creating an uncomfortable hole in the middle of the bed. If you must have these 2 single mattresses then provide some way to keep them together so they do actaully represent one double bed.

Pros: very convenient location, close to centre of town. very clean hotel. staff was kind and helpful, very efficient.
