Great standard and verry clean
The hotel is comfortable and well appointed, the amenities are also great.
Service was not good at all in many aspects, there was a "not my problem" response from the staff when we had questions or concerns which was off putting and the opposite of what hospitality means.
Breakfast and the Wellness facilities
The location of the hotel is a short walk from the train station which made up for the not very picturesque surroundings. The spa and pool were a welcome facility and the breakfast was excellent.
Some staff were lacking in helpfulness. For example when we arrived the receptionist suggested we might like to pay for an upgrade to a better room. He escorted us to the upgrade but when we asked to see the classic room we had booked he left us to find it on our own. This is a very large hotel and it necessitated us taking two separate lifts and walking the full length of the hotel with our luggage. We got hopelessly lost and there was noone from whom we could ask directions. Also when we asked for a coffee in the bar at 9.15 pm we were told to ask in the restaurant but the staff there informed us that the kitchen was closed and it could not be provided, even though coffee was on the bar menu! I cannot think of any hotel unable to serve coffee in the evening. Luckily for us the barman on duty was extremely helpful and left the bar to make coffee for us, otherwise it would have been a ridiculous situation. Also, although the spa was excellent the person on duty was not very welcoming when we visited on Saturday afternoon.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast with excellent variety of food. Small but nice swimming pool. Spacious private parking, a bit expensive but safe and comfortable. Walking distance to the Old Town (15 minutes).
When I arrived it was freezing cold in the room because the heating was set up on 0 so it took quite long to warm up the room. WiFi had extremely poor signal.
