10,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and personable, nothing too much trouble. Many thanks
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Location, view and only 10 rooms.
Cons: Coffee in the room, not very nice. It is nespresso but was bitter and drinkable. But cafe down stairs makes a great coffee
7,0 Good
Pros: The bath is enormous and a real luxury if you like to soak as part of your relaxing trip. The choice of pillows made the bed comforts better and the team provide you with real milk for your coffee. I left an adapter and they contacted me about that. It doesn’t sound much, but with most hotels if you leave something you have lost it.
Cons: The bath tap falls off. I’m sure I’ve had room 8 before and it did the same. The bed is two mattresses but it’s surrounded by a wooden frame so I don’t know why. Means you keep feeling the gap. A full matttress would be more befitting the luxury of the hotel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: awsome service, room was very clean , the best one i stay in Wellington!reasonable price and great location
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Heated floors in the bathroom, comfortable bed, large mirror
Cons: Entrance was a little confusing (there are two), but they both go to the same place.

Pros: Loved the HUGE corner bath!
Cons: Thought breakfast was (and would have been) included for the per night price.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Great position- great bath - quiet

Pros: Large room, staff was friendly, large bathroom, free internet
Cons: Strange bed configuration - one king size and one twin/single. Only small round window made room very dark. Very small sink

8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel was very nice ans the staff was beyond warm and welcoming!
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: The location, lobby, bar and restaurant were nice.
Cons: The room was old and dated, so was the pool area, spa & sauna. Needs to be updated for the price. Website photos are misleading. Swimming pool and spa looks dirty, but I think that’s just because some money needs to be spent updating it. Not a 5 star hotel in my eyes. Buffet breakfast needs some more yummy modern food ie sourdough, quinoa porridge
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Great beds Plenty of space Large bathroom
Cons: Cold night -maybe room could be warmer
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were fabulous and great location
Cons: Bathroom needs revamp had a shower over bath with horrible old curtain and chipped old tiles around bath
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Valet parking was a bonus
Cons: Where do I start.. thick dust along the skirting boards and in the bathroom, mouldy shower curtains and stained dirty Shub, chipped mouldy tiles, dust and grime around the tea / coffee area. If you’re really lucky you’ll even get dirty socks. Free of charge left in your room! Kids menu also had odd selections and not to mention the $12 sparkling water
9,7 Excellent
Pros: The location is great, with access to harbour facilities. The hotel itself is well appointed and comfortable. With one minor correction, service was excellent. And on the minor point, the hotel went to great lengths to resolve the issue.
Cons: Nothing in particular.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location & service!!!
5,8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: 3 hours to check in. We arrived early and were told that they would put a priority to clean our room. 2 hours later we come back, still not ready again we were told final checks was all that was needed we went away for 1 hour still room was not ready. Very poor service and lies. I will never stay here again. On a side note they ran out of English breakfast tea at breakfast.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Doorman was super friendly, cleaning staff left my sons toys tucked up in bed which he loved! Great little touches.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The buffet breakfast was amazing
Cons: The parking was a little hard
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Checking out.
Cons: The terrible food in the restaurant. The "upgrade" to a room above 3 large noisy exhaust pipes. The poorly trained waitress in the Gray restaurant who couldn't answer ANY question but just kept saying how she was "new". The French server behind the till who couldn't take criticism of the poor quality food or offer any apology but was adept in the "don't be angry technique" so as to deflect listening or acknowledging my right to complain. Too precious for words.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very nice and a great spot to eat and people watch.

6,3 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Wasn’t value for money
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious room..great outlook. Very close to train station and town. Very friendly helpful staff.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: My partner thoroughly enjoyed the food at breakfast, and the facilities were incredibly clean, with a wonderful shower and bath. Our bed was pretty comfortable about an 7.5 out of 10. The reception staff were incredibly patient and let us check out late at 12pm instead of 11am with no extra charge and were also friendly, professional and easy to reach. The concierge upon entry to the hotel was SO good, he must have ran up to the room to put our bags in there because it was very quick. There was also an iPad in the room which was novel.
Cons: Valet parking for $45 a day, unfortunately at check out the valets or concierge did not help pack the car, despite helping us unpack when we checked in. This was a little disappointing considering the cost. The washing machine dryer wasn't the most effective, and is only suitable for tiny loads. Our clothes weren't cleaner or thoroughly dry after use. May be better off just paying for the laundry service provided for smaller loads or heading to a laundromat.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel design was beautiful, everything overall was pretty good
Cons: The curtains let lights in(not alot of light) so if your a morning person that’s good for you, the a.c had problems
6,8 Good
Cons: 3pm check in is way too late. We called at 11.30 enquiring about an early check in as we had travelled 4 hours to get there. We were told our room was next in line to be cleaned and we should be fine to check in early. We arrived at 12.30 and were told check in was 3pm and that was that. Staff member was very rude. Would not return to this hotel in principal.
5,5 Okay
Cons: We spend two nights. Got a room (802) full of rattling and cracking noises that kept us awake most of the second night. This killed the rest of the experience at the hotel which would have been ok-ish. We felt a bit cheated on the valet parking. It was offered on arrival (was late at night) and we accepted, just to realise that the parking hotel is just a public parking 10 meter away from the lobby (a bit hidden from sight) where the cost is just 6 NZD per night....they charged us 40!! Would not have been it nice to inform us first about the alternative of parking ourselves for a fraction of the price? Last, gym is ridiculously small, with no room for more than one or max two people at a time. Otherwise rooms were clean and Ok, but those three negatives make me cross the hotel from my list

Cons: See above PLUS DANGER IN THE DINNING ROOM!!!!! Un stabilised bottles, and jars bottles on the brica brac shelves posing a danger to dinners incase of a substantial earth quake.

6,5 Good
Pros: This is a nice hotel in a good location. the staff are friendly but somewhat ineffectual in relation to our issues. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. the bathroom was generous and well appointed. There is a reasonable gym and a small lap pool
Cons: We had a bad room: the air-conditioning did not work for all of the three nights we stayed there. So the nights were stuffy and had to leave a door open until the noise was too much. This room is right under the restaurant kitchen so we got a lot of floor noise especially at cleaning up time from 10 pm till after midnight and then again for breakfast in the morning. We know kitchens make noise so they can't be criticised but it was a bad choice to locate a room underneath. We did not eat there at all. There are many good restaurants nearby with prices and menus that are more attractive. I understand the hotel has been refurbished but I did not think for the price we should have had to discover the problems.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Better than usual buffet, comfy bed and great towels!
Cons: Nothing!
7,5 Good
Pros: Location , bed very comfortable .
Cons: Bar , staff were pretty hopeless one particular chap couldn’t even manage a smile. Beer was warm.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were super friendly and accommodating. There is a modern and boutique style room, the staff happily changed my room and made my stay enjoyable. Rooms were large with a very comfortable bed. Also had an espresso coffee machine in the room!
9,3 Excellent
Pros: The location was exceptional and the quality of my stay was excellent. Recommended to anyone willing to spend the money. Food quality was brilliant and staff so friendly and welcoming .
9,3 Excellent
Pros: The art in the lobby was amazing and the bar had a lovely atmosphere with live music. Also staff were very friendly Bed was super comfy and room was very spacious.
Cons: The bathroom is very dark. It looks great with black tiling however I found it hard to see showering and getting ready for an evening out. Wish there was more light We left our apartment late morning and ventured around town until 3pm to find that our room had still not been made up and there was a gentleman standing in our room with a clipboard trying to work out if there was anything missing from the mini bar. We were told the room cleaner would be along shortly, which we sat outside on the balcony to wait and when she arrived we stayed on the balcony. She was in and out quickly and did a nice clean.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful friendly staff from the moment we stepped in the door. Convenient location for Te Papa and Waterfront. Room was well appointed and very comfortable. Would be happy to stay for an extended stay. We arrived early in the morning expecting to just drop our luggage but we were able to check into our room early. 11 am check out. So nice for a Sunday.
Cons: Perhaps the bar snacks. Maybe a cheese board or anti pasti platter would be a good option.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Stylish rooms
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and very comfortable bed. Great balcony and space. Beautiful bathroom with bath.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: Hotel restarant (Hot Sauce) was terrible - however the hotel and everything was lovely.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The entire experience, room, facilities, staff, location.
Cons: The pillows, I prefer a flat pillow.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Great room, excellent staff, facilities are fantastic. Awesome location, very comfortable stay. Decoy and theme of hotel is quintessential.
Cons: The new coffee machines taint the water if you drink tea.

5,7 Okay
Cons: The Vista suites are part of another building and do not have airconditioning. The rooms are small by todays standards. It was quite a warm day and night and the windows and door had to be opened. Given Wellington is so windy this has its drawbacks and especially noise overnight.

Pros: I always stay here if I'm needing to stay central. Easy parking, great location just a couple mins walk out of the hustle and bustle. Rooms are always clean, warm and spacious. Highly recommend.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Location, location, location.
Cons: No issues
8,0 Excellent
Pros: My friend and I spent 3 nights at the Apollo Lodge and we were very pleased with our stay. Staff was pleasant, I believe it was a husband and wife team running the place. The location could not have been better, a 5 minute walk from the downtown area for food and drinks but on a quiet street. Then again, my bed was right by the window so I was woken up a few times by loud people walking by the street. We were in an A-Frame room, which looks like they all border the street. So noise could be an issue in this room type vs. the others.
Cons: Our room also looked different from the online pictures which were of the upstairs rooms. I addressed this with the staff and they said they could not control which pictures were shown. A bit disappointing, but the room was the same layout nonetheless. The beds were not the most comfortable beds but they did just fine.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Value for money
Cons: Getting a little tired.

Cons: Nothing to dislike

Pros: It was close to everything
8,0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the pool, gym a little small but worked out ok for me as usually only one other person or no one in it when I arrived. only down side was where the exit of the pool was when there was a conference or study day on. I was attending the study day so got out of the pool early enough on most days for this not to be an issue. however if I was not attending and the attendees were having a break I would I think have been embarrassed. Loved the wine in the bar and restaurant as you had my favorite Villa Maria chardonnay.
Cons: As above
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The staff, absolutely fantastic. Super helpful, accommodating, knowledgeable about the area. Couldn't have asked for better
7,0 Good
Pros: The location. Bathroom was good size.
Cons: No opening window. Hotel was very busy and so checking in took lots of time. There was nowhere to sit and meet people. Very small and noisy “lounge” and bar area. Conference rooms full. Only place to hold a meeting was in bedrooms which was not appropriate for a mixed party and limited space in bedrooms. No parking, when it said parking was available, but it had all been taken, despite arriving at 2 pm!
7,5 Good
Pros: Room was spacious and clean. Buffet breakfast was yummy.
Cons: Unfortunately there was no parking left so they suggested to park 2 blocks away which usually would be ok however my husband had broken his leg and was in a wheel chair. On the up side we got a car park just down the road and paid for street parking.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent and service was Great
Cons: Room had a musky smell so had to report this. Room was not serviced properly. Had to ask for top up of coffee, milk and towels. Card swipe did not work after hours...very angry had to walk up to JC use there access to The Terrace to gain access to Novotel.
6,2 Good
Pros: Room was clean and staff were great, friendly and accomodating
Cons: Lacks any facilities, no pool, not even a laundry to do some washing. Sent down the road to their sister hotel the Ibis with bags of washing was not something I was going to bother doing.
5,5 Okay
Cons: I was very disappointed because I called up ahead of time to prepare cake with message & candle and some decorations to surprise my husband for this will be his birthday on the day we checked in but I was the one who was surprised with nothing as we enter our room. The guy named Mischel whom I spoke with guaranteed that everything I requested will be all good then just to find out that it was all miscommunication. I assumed that everything I requested I will be charged for it so I was so much expecting what I wanted would happen but it didn't just VERY disappointed because I planned everything as birthday gift for my husband but that guy I spoke with was not anticipating at all he was all assuming too. Assumption is just that the mother of disaster.

Cons: bathroom needed upgrading soon.needed more info as to what a eco clean involves as opposed to a regular room clean.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent in heart of shopping and a step from waterfront.
Cons: Thought the lifts should have been key swipe for better security. The central light well part of building is a bit scruffy and in need of maintenance.
4,5 Okay
Pros: Lift goes straight down to lambton quay
Cons: In poor condition, outdated, tatty. Building from outside is an eyesore. Staff pretty miserable.
5,7 Okay
Pros: Very quiet. Comfortable bed and good sized room.
Cons: Very old decor. I would 70s look. I actually don't think the carpet has changed since the 70s Needs to be refurbished.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Had a room in the older part but it was functional tidy and just what we needed for a two night stay. Great value for money too.
6,3 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, good location, clean
Cons: Overall appearance was old and tired. Room did not have windows facing outside but our window was facing into an internal roofed courtyard. If I had known about this I wouldn’t have booked this hotel.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: The privacy of the room and where we were situated. Nice, very nice - the fact that the concierge was very accomdating and Amazingly courteous was a bonus after a trainwreck of a day!
Cons: Guests in neighbouring rooms had a screaming tantrum throwing child not sure whose room or if it was the same child - just no respect for other guests on that floor - we all paid to be in that Hotel, they were disrespectful as far as I was concerned.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location Nice breakfast Good refurbished king club room Enjoyed the club lounge
Cons: Food in club lounge could have been hotter
7,5 Good
Pros: The room was away from the lifts so quiet. Great to have a window that can open. Pillow menu good. Central location to that end of town.
Cons: The bathroom was disappointing - a 3/4 shallow bath! The beds are quite hard. The bedrooms and on the small side and a bit tired looking - not luxurious!

9,5 Excellent
Pros: Great location and classic hotel
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to wharf , shopping & restaurants
Cons: There should be better seats in the room
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Historic building with lovely big rooms.Real organic milk in the fridge. Fascinating old lift. Lovely big bathroom. Chocolates on the pillow every night! Great location.
Cons: Restaurant and room service not open on the weekend.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Location and character
Cons: In house breakfast. But so much choice nearby so no problem
6,3 Good
Pros: Nice large room, great selection of teas and coffee in the room. Fresh milk provided for tea. Close to the seafront and to the cable car.
Cons: The building needs maintenance - there's peeling paint and damp marks on the walls of the main staircase, and the curtains look grubby and washed out. Strange that so little is done to upkeep the main building inside or outside, given the room itself was nicely maintained. Cleaning service also not great- cleaner left dirty face cloth on the bathroom floor and didn't bother picking up the telephone that had fallen on the floor.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Small, friendly and welcoming staff, excellent location. We will stay there again.
8,8 Excellent
Cons: The decor and architecture
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely rooms - lovely building. Historic building. Great central location.
Cons: The window in our room wouldn't close making it a bit noisy overnight.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic old building with beautiful original features. It's a bit tired and going to have major renovations over the next few years, definitely want to go back. Very friendly helpful staff. The view was terrible, into an internal wall; however it's inner city of a building that wasn't designed for accommodation or views; I'd request a room with that in mind next time.
7,0 Good
Pros: The architecture, lovely cafe downstairs with very friendly staff and great coffee
Cons: Woman behind the reception desk wasn’t very friendly or helpful which ruined the stay a bit. Don’t think we would stay there again for that reason alone. Felt rushed to leave in the morning too

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Water pressure was awesome. Bed was super comfy. Super central to everything. Easily accessible parking. Very friendly staff.
Cons: The soundproofing of the rooms. Was very loud when people were coming and going at all hours of the night.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, room was very clean and tidy. It had everything we needed and a great location. Very helpful staff that arranged a carpark for us a few days before we arrived.
Cons: I was disappointed about how small the lounge area was. It was tiny and cramped. The photos I had looked at when picking the room gave the appearance that the living area was a bit larger. Everything else about the experience was perfect. I would have happily paid more for a larger living room area.
8,0 Excellent
Cons: Unable to open curtains or doors as rooms were adjacent to car park! No view or fresh air
8,0 Excellent
Pros: staff and location
Cons: basic for cost though staff made up for that
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Handy, warm, clean. Nice big bathroom. Comfortable bed
Cons: The sound proofing was not very good.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and the location is excellent. Parking is handy, you're able to prebook and reasonably priced considering it's inner city.
Cons: The room was disappointing. The windows looked out at a concrete block wall so there is virtually no daylight, and the sofa was very old and uncomfortable.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and accommodating staff. Great location.
Cons: Was on 3rd floor facing Tory Street. Lots of early morning street noise (mainly garbage truck and street sweepers).
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. Our apartment was clean and comfortable.
Cons: As it’s a downtown hotel, there is no lobby. This is ok though, because there are so many local cafes and restaurants. Also, we had to pay extra for a late checkout.
7,5 Good
Pros: Central
Cons: We had a 2 Bedroom Apartment for 4 people, there is 1 couch for 2 people, and 1 Chair, another Chair could be added to this area as the Dining chairs are not comfortable enough to spend time sitting on
3,8 Mediocre
Cons: The housekeeping was shocking. The beds were not remade, no new toiletries and no teabag refill.

9,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, modern and safe. Arrived early before midday and my room was ready.
Cons: The receptionist was very nice but the process for check in was rather slow. Not a great view from my room and the room layout made moving around difficult, you wouldn't want two people in the room.
9,4 Excellent
Pros: Location was great
Cons: You can tell it is old with cheap ways to make it look newer
