Historical building and fascinating architecture and interior design. Beautiful and elegant place.
Our timing to stay at the hotel - current pandemic situation and protests in the city do not help neither the hotel nor the guests.
Beautiful hotel, so historically elegant! Great service amidst the Covid pandemic, we felt very safe and comfortable. And we had to order the Hot Brown" - it did not disappoint!!
This is a lovely hotel, and each staff member we met was sweet and helpful. During normal times, this would be a lively neighborhood. If not for construction, there is a cool rooftop area.
Covid and construction made our stay a little less than ideal - a lot was closed, including on site restaurants and the rooftop area. The neighborhood (theaters) were boarded up. And our toilet overflowed. ☹️ I suspect that a year from now, this will return to being a very nice place to stay.
The history and beauty.
Covid19 kinda took away our full experience as well as construction. After being able to eat at restaurants before and shop in gift shop it is was kinda disappointing not to be able to share that with family who had not experienced that yet.
It's historic nature.
It seemed dirty. The service was off. They got my orders wrong. Vending machines didn't work. Construction going on over my head. It just seemed one small bad thing after another. I realize staffing is low, but so were guests numbers. Disappointed!
