The location is great. Good value for money
The beds, that's it, the beds. They are horrible. Every single move you or someone else make, this metal squeaking sound fill the room. I don't expect hotel quality beds but I've been to other HI that have decent beds.
I like the shared areas, they have a huge kitchen and a garden to enjoy. I also like the pool table.
I booked the hostel for a specific amount and then when I arrived they told me about their membership fee which is $4/day. On booking price breakdown that wasn't there, then I checked hostel page on booking and way at the end of the page they're talking about this fee. Before check-in I was already charged the booking amount, since I couldn't cancel after that point hey caught me off guard, at check-in they told me, I have to pay $4/day or I can pay $18 and be a member of their hostel to not to pay this fee for a year. Since I'll be staying there few days this doesn't make sense. So this is for all my folks who's traveling on budget be aware of this sneaky, scam-like fee application. The stuff was surprisingly not that friendly, they had this "don't give a f" attitude. At checkout if you want to leave your bags and wanna take it after 1pm that's great now you have to pay for the locker! Seriously I don't know what kind of hostel does that, of course people book their flights or rides late in the afternoon or evening, and you want to charge them just to keep your guests' luggage there? Not the best service, never seen this on any other hostel.
Basic and healthy breakfast! Good location and easy to get to the attraction.
That would be perfect and friendly if the luggage storage charge within half day free.
When I booked I was under the impression that I booked a room with a toliet and private shower. I explained this to the hotel front desk and told them I paid extra on booking. Hotel would not make any accommodations even when their was a vacancy in another room with a private toliet and shower. I was told there were no vacancy's, which was a lie. I had friends stay in a room where there was a vacancy with a private toliet and shower, and they could have easily put me in their room, but did not. They refused my request. Front hotel staff were not friendly. First aide was not available. I found, what appeared to be a roach in my bag. Also couldn't check in until after 3pm. I was also overcharged and am requesting a refund for my stay. Would not stay again at all
I like the fact I got the chance to meet various people, and the location was excellent because it's walking distance to the beach. The room or beddings were clean. The staff was very helpful! I wanted to have a longer stay, but I had business time constraints.
For the most part, nothing I dislike personally. It's mostly good!
