Everything was good, except if you wanted to get up around seven to shower before they start serving breakfast, there was not a single drop of warm water. However, if you were fine to shower at an odd hour, there was sufficient hot water.
Excellent location - 2-3 minutes walking from metro; it's possible to leave baggage before check-in and after check-out. Clean and silent.
Some rooms have no step-free access. Just mind it when checking in.
The Oxford hotel is excellently located for easy transport on the tube, staff were very friendly on check-in. Decent places to eat within walking distance of the hotel. Very affordable for a one night stay. Decent pressure in the shower!
The room could have been a little cleaner, and the mattresses could do with replacing. The pictures definitely show the hotel when it was just renovated but this wasn’t an issue as we just needed somewhere to rest our head for the evening!
The check in was very fast and easy. There was tea and coffee in the room and a hairdryer.
It wasn't really clean, the spoons next to the coffee mugs had a layer of dust on them. Everything seemed very used, the mirror was hanging off the wall and almost falling off. We couldn't really use the windows because there was some construction or storage outside and it completely blocked one of the windows and partially the other one so the room was quite dark.
The location next to the underground was perfect and there were also plenty of shops around. The hotel itself was clean and fairly comfortable. You get what you pay for in terms of space but that doesn't matter when you're going around the city sight seeing. It's just a place to lay your head. It does the job.
Our shower head was broken and it actually fell down and smashed us on the head a few times when the water started. The toilet seat was also super loose. Other than that, it was good!
