Pros: The location is fabulous, the breakfast is fine, it's quiet at night and reasonably clean. We considered moving to a more upmarket hotel, but in the end realized that being right in the heart of the town was so much fun and we had a great time. The center of town is traffic free and it is wonderful to just meander around historic streets, to the Museum, the cafe's and great little boutiques with ease, we could just pop in and out of our hotel when we wanted to rest and saved heaps on transport. The waterfront of the lake is so beautiful and people friendly, offering many walks, restaurants, beautiful gardens and the amphitheater, which is worth checking before you book for the fabulous concerts it offers, including great boat tours.
Cons: The Sonne is an old hotel, with no lift and we were on the 5th floor, which was a pain with our luggage and a bit dangerous if you are not young. The rooms have been jazzed up but some time ago and they are tired. The staff are tired and only the manager who was from NZ was really hospitable. If you are a seasoned traveler and more interested in the location than the style of where you stay it's fine.
Cons: Noise on street Shared toilet
Pros: My favorite breakfast at a hotel in Europe. Great options like different breads and meats, yogurt with toppings, all kinds of good food. The room was spacious. The location was phenomenal, in a cool walking only area of town. Check out the pflander, too while you are here. You won't be disappointed.

Cons: Hardly any toilet paper in the room. For the rest everything very good.
Pros: Easy accessible location in Bregenz for city and lake area. Large parking. Good breakfast.
Cons: Mostly visited by large groups and families and due to old school building it can be very noisy, which unfortunately disturbed our sleep.
Cons: Not happy with the way the handled the current situation with regard to corona. Different way of handling in comparisson to our Austrian hotel. Sure, they followed the rules and general terms in that moment, but some sense of knowing what was going on would have been a nice gesture. Don’t need money back, but won’t book at this hotel again.

Pros: Friendly and nice staff. Very good breakfast and surprisingly good restaurant. A few minutes walk from the city center and even closer to the Bodensee. Hotel entrance next to the parking garage.
Cons: The rooms are really very german: clean and functional but lacking any style or comfort. I didn't dare to touch the TV remote, it looked very greasy. Hotel rooms in Bregenz seem very expensive, compared to other Austrian cities and this is no exception.
Pros: The view, IF it had been a clear day.
Cons: The hotel was completely infested with flies, restaurant & bar closed Monday & Tuesday. Horrific.
Pros: Staff were very pleasant and spoke English. Room was clean and well proportioned. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range including hot options. And all very close to the centre.

Cons: Not much

Cons: The price does not fit what is offered. The room and the bathroom were extremely small.
Pros: We choose this Hotel for our stay during Bregenzer Festspiele for 2 years already and are planning to come next year! This Hotel is definitely closer to 4 stars than 3.
Cons: The only one thing that someone may not like is self cooking during breakfast:if you want scrambled eggs or fried eggs or omelet-be ready to cook it yourself.we were totally fine with this fact because everything was organized really well.
Pros: The room was clean and about what I would expect for the price. Nothing fancy, but clean and practical room. The staff was lovely and they were very helpful with the festival logistics.
Cons: The hotel is in a weird location. Pro: across from the Wolford HQ so I got an extra 10% off the outlet store. Con: immediately next-door to a strip club though I never saw anyone go in. The area is quiet at night and about a 30-40 minute walk from the Main Street in town so I had to rent a bike to get around.

Cons: All good.
Pros: Location near the lake and best Mexican food in Europe...very clean and comfortable.
Cons: Magdalena promised the best breakfast- it was just like all the others, nothing special but good homemade bread. I am American, so I expected eggs and warm stuff...she also said to park in the garage for 6€ and it was 16€ so just know that if you have a car.

Cons: If you want to rent a bike you'd better don't do it in the hotel but at the bike rental by the train station, because here it's not possible or you have to wait.
Pros: Surrounded by the lake, the hotel is quiet. The nice and friendly young man at the reception gave me a clear guide as to where to go. Thumbs up.
