Pros: The breakfast was excellent and there was the full buffet also at the end of the breakfast time. Staff was always more than polite and helpful. Everything was organized to help the customer to have a pleasant stay. The hotel was only 10 minutes distant from the main street but the hotel offers a free of charge bus service every 30 minutes. Rooms are very clean and new. Reception service was outstanding, they help their customers to book any trip without commissions.

Pros: Clean room, very friendly staff, shuttle bus to the port and center, clean and spacious pool. They offer you free transport from the port, when you arrive to Lipari you simply give them a call and the bus will be waiting for you. It takes 10 mins by foot to reach the center, not so far.

Cons: Breakfast room is very, very small so during the rush hours in the morning it is difficult to move around the common table to collect your food.

Pros: From the free shuttle pick-up from the port upon arrival, our time at Hotel Borgo Eolie was great. Relaxing, quiet with sea views. Whilst the hotel is located a little out from the main strip of Lipari, 10min easy walk, the hotel provides free shuttle services throughout the day and night. This is especially useful if you are carrying shopping. Great breakfast choices, clean rooms, well maintained gardens and the cleanest pool I have ever seen. The staff are helpful and are very customer focussed - nothing is too much trouble. Special mention to Bartolo who is so passionate with everything he does: shuttle service, pool and property maintenance, great conversations and shared laughs. We will miss you. Pros: The hotel is very well located in Lipari (close to the port Marina Corte), breakfasts are awesome, the room is big, and most of all the owners are very welcoming. Thank you very much for the stay !

Cons: These are details but I would notice two things: the temperature of the shower was difficult to tune (either too hot or too cold, it takes time to find the good balance), two beds cannot make a big bed : it always moves in the middle and creates some uncomfortable gap.

Pros: Perfect location, next to the little port for the boat excursions. A lot of services around the corner (e.g. supermarket). Excellent breakfast. Very nice and helpful staff. Air conditioning in the room.

Cons: We were in the annex room. The room was a bit dark (the only window was the entrance). However, not a big problem if you are out all the time. Bathroom with quite transparent door (a more opaque glass or a curtain in addition would have guaranteed more privacy). Wifi not working perfectly in the room (but well in the other areas)

Pros: The place was clean and bright. We loved the breakfast options and location.

Cons: There was not always someone at the front desk or only one person so we had to wait on their phone calls or find someone to help us. The front door key did not always work, but we were able to come in through the (person sized door sized) window. Not very secure?

Pros: Breakfast was excellent (not a great variety but quality ingredients), multiple coffees of good quality were offered by staff in a very nice setting. Location is excellent, close to a small harbour and main walking streets, and not very noisy (occasional scooter). Neighborhood small streets uncover a real Lipari town, full of life and hidden gems (such as an open air cinema) ;)

Pros: The view from our room was MAGNIFICENT. We looked straight out over the sea and port as well as across to the old town. The property is very fresh and modern inside. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is great. A 10 minute walk from the ferry but only 1 minute to the fishing port for restaurants, bars and shops. This was just a delightful experience all round. We loved your room and we loved your island. Thank you.

Cons: It’s quite a climb up the stairs to the top floor but we are okay with that. I only mention it for older people who may struggle.

Pros: This B&B is located super near the cutest harbour and the best resturants. The straff were so nice. It was really good for the price we paid!

Cons: I booked 2 rooms and they were a long way apart, which was inconvenient. My room had weak air con and internet, such that they were unusable. I also had a lot of noise from neighboring properties, including persistent coughing, some yelling and banging. The breakfast was good, including homemade bread and cakes, but I would have like some eggs (even hard boiled), being a vegetarian.

Cons: This hotel’s rooms are in need of an update. While they are completely functional, that is it. The space and design are very basic and Spartan, and not adorned, romantic, or beautiful in any way.

Pros: Property is in an excellent location in the centre of Lipari within easy walking distance of both harbours and the historic upper town. Giuseppe was extremely helpful and spoke excellent English - he is able to organise trips for you to other islands or around Lipari. There is a lovely area on the roof of the building with a large jacuzzi and space to relax.

Cons: Our room was at the end of an alley so it was dark and did not have a terrace (this is not true of other rooms).

Pros: Residence Acanto was a lovely base in Lipari. The location was great, a short walk from everything. The roof top terrace at sunset with a glass of wine was a wonderful way to end the day. Breakfast was a a simple but delicious selection of meats, cheese, handmade bread and cakes and pastry. Giuseppe (the host) was really fantastic and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend this accommodation

Pros: Great breakfast! We really enjoyed the taste and selection. The coffee and hot chocolate were awesome!! Very friendly and helpful staff. Giuseppe met us at the ferry and helped get us settled in. He also organized a trip to Stromboli and made great recommendations for wine and food places to try out.

Pros: Me and my Dad has the BEST time in Lipari at Residence Acanto. Giuseppe was attentive, helpful, in constant communication, recommended the best places and took great care of us throughout our stay. He brought us fresh fruit from the hotel's tiny orchard and even prepared breakfast especially for us when he knew we had an early departure time. The residence is in the best location. It is bang in the middle between Marina Corta and the main port and a stone's throw away from the Archeological Museum and one of the best restaurants in town. The roof terrace with the jacuzzi and the stunning view is just the cherry on top. We will definitely return to Residence Acanto and highly recommend it to all!

Pros: Host Giuseppe picked us up from the ferry dock, helped us book tours and restaurants. He is always there for any questions you may have. The room is spacious and comfortable. Very good wifi signal, very quite at night.

Pros: The rooms were very cool. The bed and showers were really good and clean. The pool was great and the location is really easy to reach. The checkin was fast and everything worked great.

Pros: When we arrived in Rome we received notification our cruise was cancelled very upset as it was a long time planning but I can tell you I was so happy with the Aktea hotel a friend recommended it and I would definitely the hotel was beautiful and great location and the views where incredible

Pros: My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of June, arriving at Hotel Mea is a lovely experience, the hotel is in a great location, walking distance to all the restaurants, All the staff were extremely friendly, going above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable, even organise transport for us for another part of our journey. The rooms are spacious, spotless and comfortable, the breakfast was plentiful. Would definately stay here again

In all my travels I have not such good service from the staff anywhere else, Maria Antonette, Betty, Giovanni, Vittorio and the rest of the staff and sorry I have gone blank on some of the names thank you very much and hope to see you there in 2022 when we are planning to return for our 40th wedding anniversary and we will be bringing a lot of friends with us. Thank you again, keep up the good work staff see you in 2022.

Pros: Property was centrally located able to access restaurants and shopping by foot. The staff were accommodating and extremely friendly. Rooms were clean and well air conditioned. Pool are was clean with enough chairs to accommodate guests.

Cons: As an American we are used to fast paced service however In Europe there is no rush. Sit back and enjoy yourself.

Pros: The hotel is very quiet and has a nice (white) decoration. Location is great, 5m walking from the port and the main street. The pool has a wonderful view to the sea. Staff is helpful and super friendly. The wifi internet works pretty well.

Cons: Given the price, some minor features need to be improved: the rooms should have a blackout to cover the sun; the staff at the restaurant should be more efficient (simple requests, as a bottle of water or the menu, take too much time); the juices at the breakfast are too artificial (and sweet!). Finally - the hotel needs to creat a luggage room (bags can only stay in the common area if you want to leave them there after the checkout).

Pros: Very friendly helpful staff. The room was clean. We had a bit of a confusion, since we booked Agave and stayed at Melingus Hotel. They picked us up from the port & took us back. The hotel needs some TLC here and there. But overall we had a good experience and would recommend it.

Cons: A free shuttle from the port was offered, however we had to wait over an hour at the port and nobody showed up, so we walked to the apartment ourselves - eventually it seemed that the shuttle to the apartment had a different name than the apartment.

Cons: The shower in our room was a dated enclosed unit with a seat that you only only use if you were 5ft tall or less. Obviously the cleaning staff had never heard of Viakal either as the shower head was spraying in all directions! The beds were too hard for my taste.

Pros: Amazing little hotel overlooking the bay of Canneto. Each room was a wonderful view. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, with your own balcony or terrace and kitchen. Breakfast is very good and a lot of offers. Delicious coffee. Only 2 minutes to the beach The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming and helped us a lot.

Cons: Late checkout no one was there. A/C not working and manager cant solve issue... We expect a lot more for 124€ per single night.

Pros: The views from our balcony were spectacular. The rooms vhere spacious and clean, breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of food, the staff were incredibly helpful on any request or requirement and there were two air conditions in our rooms that reduced the heat in minutes on all hot days.

Cons: The bathroom towels where scratchy and needed to be softened and there was a far bit of an incline walking to & from the property.

Pros: !!!! Highly recommended !!! We can't thank enough the wonderful staff at Bougainville especially Geltrude. The staff went out of their way to make our stay more comfortable and assisted us in every way. They recommended tours + booked all the tours we requested and also booked transportation for us. They also recommended restaurants and sight seeing. The hotel is very relaxing and quiet. It's also very central, a short 10 minute walk to the main Street (centre). The room was found super clean and cleaned on a daily basis.

Pros: The Hotel is perfectly located a short walk from the center of town. Rooms have balconies with stunning views of the harbor. The breakfast is served on a patio overlooking the city. In every detail, the hotel is first rate.

Pros: We had a great stay in Lipari. The hotel is situated out of the main part of town -an easy 15-20 minute walk along the water. The view over to the town was amazing - big balcony to eat breakfast and watch the boats come and go. Lovely, helpful staff. Room was very clean and spacious. Would definitely recommend hiring a scooter to explore for the day, which can easily be arranged at the hotel. We would absolutely recommend staying here.

Pros: Great staff and beautiful location overlooking the bay and marina. The room was spacious, very private, had a beautiful veranda, comfortable bed and large bathroom. I was able to rent a motor scooter for the day at a very reasonable rate to tour the island. A modern lift brings you up to the hotel from street level. The free included breakfast was excellent!

Cons: A bit of a walk (15-20 mins) to catch the ferry and visit the Centre of town or a 10 € cab fare. No other way to get to restaurants. As I had the scooter this wasn't an issue. I understand there is a city bus as well but I didn't look into this.

Pros: We picked this hotel at the last minute upon arriving on Lipari. It is a ways from town and had to pay 30 Euros to get to it. I would say it was worth it. Very friendly staff. And the room had a kitchenette. Free breakfast at a restaurant a couple doors down. Overall, we were happy with our stay.

Pros: It was located about 15 minutes from Lipari. Beautiful views and the ocean was across the road. There were lovely restaurants metres away. The staff were welcoming and attentive. The rooms were huge, absolutely a place to recharge.

Cons: The bedding was hard but we have found that all over Sicily so perhaps a cultural difference.

Pros: Very nice and quiet place to stay. But it's good to have a scooter or car. We rented a car for few days, but there is also possibility to use a local bus, You can get the timetable at the reception. Ladies at the reception were very nice and helpful. Also, they offer a transport from Lipari port to the hotel for free. It has very nice terrace on the roof of the hotel, where you can sunbathe or sit in the evening. Next to the hotel is very nice restaurant.

Pros: Ev'rything was alwright. Maybe, some more salt breakfast (bacon, scrumbled egg, cheese...)

Pros: The place is very clean, cleaning people have been great. There was free transfer from and to the port.

Cons: The room: all rooms on the west side of the hotel (i.e. 40% overall) have terrible views. Basically, a concrete wall. Not at all as advertised on Booking.com. Much smaller, with no seating area outside. Lot of details in the room don't make sense: the kitchen corner took half the space, why would I need that where there's no dining table at all?? Just make a wardrobe out of that. Also, TV is useless, old and cannot even be turned towards the bed: it hangs on a fixed support looking the wrong way... (!) Air-conditioning and fridge are terribly noisy and display not working. Our driver told us we could "just go to the beach and get the sunbeds". We did so, and the owner yelled at us bad words and shouted that "he was sick of all those people from the hotel, they must stop coming", basically throwing our staff away. Same thing with the restaurant near the hotel, we were told there was a discount, the people at the restaurant said it wasn't applicable that week. People at the reception didn't provide any advance info about this, so we felt weird and treated very badly. Breakfast is pretty average. Will definitely not go back.

Cons: The roof top pool was too hot. Even outside it was hot, so it's really not necessary to heat the pool up to 40-50 degrees.

Pros: Indeed a beautiful paradise like garden villa immersed in flowers and fruit trees... very beautiful indeed!

Pros: The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They picked us up from the ferry and recommended a bike rental nearby (Bruno’s). The hotel was lovely, very peaceful and lots of flowers/plants. Very spacious 2 person studio and great bed. There was a problem with our air conditioning (only blowing hot air), but the staff fixed this within an hour after we mentioned it. Great location, 5 minute walk to a cute little beach and 5 minutes to the city centre. If you get a chance, definitely to a tour around the island with an E-bike!! Beautiful views and with the electric bike it was very easy to cycle uphill. Didn’t even break a sweat all day and it was a great way to see beautiful Lipari on our own.

Pros: Proximity of room to Ardicuca facilities and the Marina Corta Port area. Staff very helpful (especially Artur and Aurora) . Attractive plants and decor, peaceful area. Lovely pool area. Good balcony (room 114) . Welcoming lobby area. Being picked up by shuttle bus from my ferry on arrival.

Cons: Not that it mattered during my stay, but had I been staying in the hotter Summer months I would likely have found it frustrating if prevented from using the pool after 7 pm. The doors to the balcony made a lot of noise when opened / closed and the door sometimes scuffed the floor making a loud screeching sound.

Pros: Residence Hotel Villa Fiorentino has a beautiful garden where you can completely relax. My holiday in Lipari was wonderful! People who work there are very nice and helpful, breakfast was very tasty and room very clean and comfortable. It's only 3 minutes walk from a small beach or from the city. I can highly recommend this place!

We had to book literally on the spot arriving in the harbour after the Stromboli eruption and the registration with the authorities in Lipari. Communication was excellent with pickup service beeing arranged etc. on this literally last "second" booking. Thanks for all!

Pros: I cannot praise this place highly enough. Beautifully located in the hills above Lipari, a 7 minute walk from the port, the views must be some of the best on the island. Breakfast left nothing to be desired, especially when you‘re sitting on the terrace that overlooks the bay. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, organizing shuttle services, giving recommendations about the best beaches. My girlfriend had an injury and couldn’t walk properly for a few days and they went out of their way to help and even provided her with crutches. We only stayed 4 nights in Lipari but we‘ve already decided that we‘ll be back and we‘ll make sure to stay at Villa Diana again.

Cons: There is absolutely nothing that I didn’t like. We had an amazing time and will be back!

Pros: I was met and dropped off at the ferry terminal. It was a short walk into town on a slight hill to give you beautiful views of the old walled city and the 2 ports. They made a great restaurant recommendation just down the road and I made a reservation. I went back for a second night. I enjoyed the breakfast and the family were super friendly and helpful. After check out was able to return after scuba diving to have a shower and relax on the terrace.

Cons: Nothing notable.

Pros: Charming Villa with exceptional views and lovely garden with lemon

Cons: Nothing only wish I could have stayed longer.
