Would stay again...
Great staff. Great breakfast. Great location. Close to the train station and Stor (gå) Gata.
Because of the snow, there was a lot of snow cleaning activities on the street most of the night. But that is nothing the hotel can't control.
The hotel is situated in the City Center, with easy parking. The bed was fairly comfortable and the room was nice and clean.
good parking. nice and quite
There wasn't a lot about this hotel to praise. It was summer and Lillehammer is probably at its best in winter but this hotel needs a serious makeover anyway the best thing is the location in the centre of town but still only about 1 minutes drive from the main E6 road.
Plenty to dislike. The hotel is very out dated and needs some care and attention, the rooms are well past their past in terms of layout and comfort. It is not good value for money at all. When checking out their credit card machines had gone off-line so they insisted that we had to pay for the room in cash - lucky we had the cash available but for a hotel not to be able to take a credit card and then have no viable back-up plan seems to me in this day and age a real problem.
Location was excellent.
The hotel is located very close to the pedestrian street. THe superior room is very spacious.
I asked for double room with king-size bed when booking but on arrival we were given a twin bedded room without any note. So we aksed for change and since king-size were not available they offered us a superior room (for extra money) with queen-size bed. The bed was very small and had a big space between it and the back wall - so the pillows were always falling down there. The TV was quite small also. The hairdryer was lacking power so I could not dry my hair sufficiently. The breakfast room is located in the far end and was very cold. The food choice was quite poor. The reception lady did not care much for her guests and did not even smile or say good-buy when we checked-out.
Location next to the railway station
The standard of the room does not justify its price. I stayed at the Hotel Savoy in Jonkoping over the weekend and it was fabulous.
located across from train station, small but good breakfast
very old furniture and decor, but newer bathroom. needs remodeling
Very good location in Lillehammer with easy access to ski bus, railway station and the centre of the town.
In the room there was no coffee/ tea facility, no hairdryer.
People were friendly and breakfast was good.
Breakfast was god
First Hotel Breiseth is a charming hotel in downtown Lillehammer, situated by the railway station in close proximity to the citys inspiring pedestrian area.In the early twentieth century, the hotel was associated with the so-called Lillehammer Painters, who painted, hosted soires and stayed at the hotel. Many of them paid for their stay with their own artworks, and the hotel is today adorned with many beautiful paintings. Our rooms are spacious and comfortable, exuding classic charm. The reception area includes a lounge with a crackling open fireplace. Here you will find coffee, tea, newspapers and fruit. The Lillehammer Region offers a wide range of recreational activities. A summer paradise for families with children, the area offers treetop climbing and the adventure park of Lilleputthammer in addition to the Maihaugen Open-Air Museum, which is open all year. During winter, the region transforms into a snow-dusted wonderland with Norways widest offering of alpine and cross-country skiing. And the ski bus stops right outside the hotel! Lillehammer is also a cultural city with highly acclaimed museums and festivals.
