Pros: Beuatiful, picturesque view from the room, overlooking the river Isel. Spacious room with relative hard matresses ( for me it was unfortunately not comfortable, my partner said it is a matter of getting used to :-) ) Breakfast-choice was OK, what extra is, is e.g. the salmon, the good amount of vegetables, the hot sweet breakfast option. There is a good reastaurant in the hotel, really worth trying. Wellness-area is super, with lukewarm water in the pools, outside the water is even warmer with stunning view of the Dolomites. Hotel manager is always there, smiling, asking if everything is OK, it is a great plus.
Cons: Receptionists could do their job better ... my partner kept asking me where he can find the 5 stars in this hotel... OK, the ambiente is nice, looks "expensive", the waiters' behaviour for most of the time is 5star, as well, you have the great wellness area with extra services, but the question is still a good one.

Pros: Breakfast was great, lots to choose from. Service was very attentive. Location of the Hotel is super. The room we had was wonderful, so clean. Bathroom was immaculate. It is a beautiful Hotel in a beautiful location and Lienz is a really nice town.
Cons: The only thing we didn't like was we were told it was an extra 30 euros to check in a couple of hours early. As we only wanted to leave our cases there as we were travelling by train, this was not an option, we wanted to pay this sort of money for. There was a coffee machine in the room and three coffee capsules hidden away in a cupboard and no milk. I tried one, which didn't work so we left the other two and were then informed at check out that they were an extra. We find this for a 5 star Hotel with high charges, rather mean. The Receptionist at check out also mistakenly wanted to charge 30 euros for using the garage, which obviously we didn't. It seems that 30 euros is the magic figure for any extras.

Pros: The service in the restaurant was excellent. All the staff carried out their duties at a very high level. The bar was extremely comfortable and their was a good choice of drinks.
Cons: Would have been nice to have had a bbc channel on tv.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Simply exquisite! The lobby and lounge were elegant, welcoming, and relaxing as soon as we entered. The suite was spacious, luxurious, and well appointed and views of the river and mountains were more than expected. The restaurant served a variety of delicious meals with impeccable service which was consistent throughout the week. The entire family of staff from the lobby to the restaurant to the chambermaids worked together as a team anticipating our needs and surpassing our expectations. The pools, fitness center, and spa were well tended and highly rejuvenating. An exceptional value and delightful experience all around!
Cons: Our stay was too short!

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Dinner (half board) was awesome. We arrived a little late due to traffic but the staff couldn't do enough to accommodate us.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and efficient welcome, long opening hours for the spa fitted my timetable, spa itself was excellent and very clean. Large room with excellent view. Good breakfast, excellent food in the bar (I didn't eat the hotel's half-board food option but I'm sure it would have been good too.) All in all an excellent stay and would come again if I'm in the area.
Cons: It was so good that I'm clutching at straws. The steam room was not quite as hot as most others I've tried, but the main sauna (one of three saunas in the spa) made up for it. Swimming pool not open outside summer, which I didn't expect, but turned out to be my failure to read the booking.com listing properly.

Cons: -
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I appreciated the swift check-in and the staff of the reception. The room was very nice - stylish and comfortable at the same time. The room I stayed in was - in my opinion - larger than average rooms (in the area). The bed was comfortable, the furniture was not outdated but perfectly matched the style of the hotel. The building is a historical one with a bit of special touch (with some modern elements). The breakfast was excellent with the staff kindly asking whether we had any special requests (e.g. hard-boiled eggs etc). The breakfast room was lovely and overlooking the main square - a great way to enjoy your morning coffee. I did not have the chance to use the welness area but the brochure in the room was pretty inviting. Manner waffles on the beds were a nice surprise upon entering the room. A restaurant operates within the building (called "La Taverna").
Cons: It is not a negative feature of the hotel, however, it may take some time to find it (if you are driving there by car) since it is located on the main square of the town of Lienz. In this case you would prefer entering the hotel building not from the side of the main square (not accessible by cars) but from the other side (a square/street called "Am Markt") - the hotel has two entrances (one from the main square and another one from the "Am Markt" street). The parking lot of the hotel is literally about a minute (or two minutes) away form this "Am Markt" entrance. You will be given a code to access the parking lot.

Pros: Location is great, up on the meadows, next to the chair lift going up or down into the city. Breakfast buffet is generous with plenty of choices to satisfy any taste. Our room was a Junior Suite, more like an apartment and we already have decided we will request it the next time we visit Lienz. The Family owners are lovely people with whom we connected from the start, very professional and efficient. Food variety for dinner is good, and they tried to make it as easy as possible for my wife as she currently has some food allergies that are being tested and analyzed at Scripps San Diego. All in all a very nice 4 days at a peaceful place with all kinds of activities offered for kids and adults, an excellent family hotel indeed.
Cons: Being in tourism, the transportation and hospitality industry for four decades, we are tolerant enough to overlook the little tweaks and minor faults, as there is hardly a perfect place on this planet. Pros: Wonderful family run hotel at the foot of the ski slopes. Half board was great value with the 5 course meal excellent quality and with huge portions! We were really well looked after and made to feel most welcome. The rooms had fabulous views and were large and very well equipped. Access is via a long unmade road and as we were travelling in a sports car this initially panicked us a little! However, it turned into quite an adventure and the local beer tasted even better once we arrived!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A family run hotel on a great location for skiers, mountaineers, all who love nature, forests, mountains... Our room was spacious and bright, with a great view on the ski slopes and mountains. Food is very good and the owners are ready to accommodate different dietary requirements. We had a half-board and the dinner was 5 course meal. Because of its location the hotel gets quiet in the evening which is perfect for those who wish to relax. The sauna has a window wall overlooking the ski slopes and the mountains, which is unusual, but we liked it very much. You can ask the staff to arrange the ski pass in the morning and they order it from the valley - very kind and convenient!

Cons: Access is via a 1.5km gravel track up a slope and for us, travelling on motorbikes, this was hard work

Pros: Great location, fantastic staff. Very picturesque.
Cons: Wasn't sure how to get past the barrier on the road leading to the hotel. Ended up having to call the hotel.
