Location is good but not else except the dinning room.
The corridors and rooms are ugly and certainly not worth 100 euros per night. The beds were soft and the rooms need completely re-decorating. They are not making much of this historic building and its certainly not a boutique hotel. I guess we were giving an old room as we asked for a quiet room, but this should have been discounted.

Excelent situation in Leiden city centre. Traditional in feel. But basic in services and facilities
Lack of cupboard space, had to live out of the suitcase. Breakfast was basic and not good value for money. No hairdryer or coffee making facikities in the room

The hotel is in a great location to explore Leiden. The room was quite and the staff friendly. The furniture/equipment of the room is functional but not amazing.
The hotel is overpriced for its standard, however within the normal range of prices in Leiden. No hairdryer in the room and extra charge for breakfast.

I liked the quaintness of the building, the helpfulness and friendliness of the hotel staff, and the location of the hotel itself, right on the Rapenburg canal. It was easy walking distance to the rest of the city as well as to the main train station.
Negotiating the stairs, especially with luggage. However, given the origin of the building, that was part of the experience!
