Great access to Lahaina and snorkeling beaches via shuttle. Great pool areas and close to Black rock.

Could have used another bathroom in the pool area.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

There was construction ongoing 7 days/week. It was hard to relax with the constant noise. Plus, we were there to celebrate our anniversary. The construction was very frustrating.

    Wonderful staff and facilities

They have mandatory valet service, but the service was very poor. Waiting for car, even after calling ahead. Car presented with windows down, ac off.

I learned about the construction after I already booked. The hotel's email makes it sound like it's very minimal construction going on. Not the case. Half of their amenities aren't even open. There was jackhammer noise all day lonn, even during the weekend and they still charge a resort fee. Also, my prepayment got charged to my card on file with booking com, and upon arrival i asked if we can have the whole thing charged to a different card my husband and I use - including the prepayment charge (this has never been an issue at ANY hotel). I was told they don't do refunds, and can't do that - seems ridiculous since it wasn't going to be a true refund, we were staying at the hotel...also, when you book the golf/mountain view rooms ask for a higher floor. None of the photos reflect that lower level rooms have a view of their parking lot. We asked to get moved next day because looking at the parking lot was annoying. You can also only valet your car for $30 so there's another charge of you rented a car.

The position was awesome and the garden too: waterfalls, trees, animals, its like watching the jungle! Very beatiful the beach, with clean water golden sand and big funny waves! Tip: upgrade, its worth the price!

Maybe the entry level rooms are a bit less modern than the others

About

Overview

Dubbed as one of Kaanapali’s beachfront mega-resorts, The Westin Maui Resort Spa has more amenities than any other hotel in its price range. Couples looking for a getaway or honeymooners wanting to relax, take note that this family-friendly resort is packed with children.

The Maui Westin is in the center of Kaanapali Beach and is Hawaii’s first master-planned resort community built in the 1960s. It is adjacent to Whalers’ Village, an open-air shopping mall with beachfront restaurants and a free museum, and 10 minutes from the Ka’anapali Golf Resort and Ka’anapali Golf Course South. The resort offers a free shuttle service to these locations, the airport, and to downtown Lahaina.

Renovations have brought Hawaiian style furniture, fresh carpet, earth tones, and glass-encased showers to the 759 rooms and suites. The Westin's comfortable, modern guest rooms feature signature Heavenly beds that include pillow-top mattresses, a white down duvet, and five down pillows. Traveling conveniences such as mini-fridges, coffeemakers, flat-screen TVs, and free coffee and bottled water are standard in all rooms, and Wi-Fi is free. The suites and premium rooms offer more space with separate living areas and include ocean views.

Westin Maui offers tons of above-average amenities like four restaurants, and a full-service spa and gym. The 87,000-square-foot aquatic playground featuring five pool, two waterfalls, an adult-only pool, and 120-foot twisting water slide are main attractions for families. A full schedule of activities, including an on-site Luau are available at the resort and the kids’ club also offers entertainment.

Direct access to swimmable and sandy Kaanapali beach, plus lots of exclusive amenities make this resort a must for family vacations.
