Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests consistently praise the hotel's friendly and attentive staff, highlighting their helpfulness and the welcoming atmosphere. Cleanliness is generally appreciated, with several reviews noting tidy rooms and common areas, though a few mention occasional lapses in housekeeping. The comfort of the beds and the traditional, cozy atmosphere are also frequently mentioned as positives. However, the location is often described as being far from Kyoto's city center, making access to major attractions less convenient, though the peaceful neighborhood and proximity to local sites are valued by some. Breakfast receives mixed feedback, with some guests enjoying it and others finding it repetitive.
