Pros:Amazing pools and grounds and very friendly staff. The villa was a great size with a full kitchen.
Cons:Only thing that would have made it better was a swimmable sandy beach on site.
Cons:When guests arrive, things (appliances) should be in working order
Pros:Pools were fantastic, kitchen was well stocked and well used during our stay. Staff was friendly but not intrusive. Grounds were lovely, including a soccer field for our active teen.
Cons:Not truly beachfront — had to walk ~10 min to reach nearest beach.

Pros:Love the pool grills allowing us to cook our own dinner, the stove tops in the room, washer and dryer in the room, quick beach access, wonderful sunsets seen from our balcony, well maintained greenery, even the friendly local altered feral cats with tons of personality. The luxury robes were fantastic too and the washer and dryers in the rooms saved us a ton of time
Cons:The gym is a little bare in regard to equipment and the spa was a little overpriced which deterred is from making an appointment.
Cons:Unfortunately just wasn't what we expected. Checking in was fine. We had a amazing view of the back of the restaurant and seeing all the servers smoke and talk story, maybe that's why their service sucked so much! On a number of occasions we tried to trade out wet towels for dry towels but there were no clean towels! Even when it rained and our towels were soaking wet they didn't have dry ones to dry ours kids off when getting out of the pool, hopefully they don't get sick! There was a lot of inconsistency when it came to security and checking for the slide. Some workers would allow my kids to go and others would say they weren't tall enough. We ate at the restaurant on 3 different occasions every time the service was awful. Pricing for food was really high for the amount and quality you were getting. The last day our server by the pool was awful. She never wrote anything down so forgot everything we ordered. After an hour of putting our food order in she said they were trying to look for hot dogs and couldn't find any, I could have gone to big save in that amount of time and cooked them up and fed my children. We ordered something else that took another 45 min. There was no sorry or anything for the time it took to just get our food. When you have starving children in the sun all day not the best time to be taking a while to get food. We depended on the restaurant because we were in a studio and couldn't cook anything. No one warned us about bringing our slippers in from our slider door and how awful the water smells. In the morning after the sprinklers went off, all of our stuff smelt like sewage!!! We called and asked for a later check out and they apologized but someone would be checking Into the room, since we could see the room from the restaurant they didn't even get to cleaning it until after 5 pm!!! i am just so shocked they have such a huge place with great potential and you can't even find a manager around. I know they are now merging with Marriott but go to the Waiohai you will have a much better experience.
Pros:Clean, new facilities and the staff was very friendly and helpful. A variety of excellent restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance.
Cons:It's a bit of a walk to a sandy beach but there's not a lot of it on this coast. Construction of the new pool area was a bit of an eyesore but they'll be complete soon.
