Pros: Everything. The natural beauty that surrounds the property to the service-minded and friendly staff, the range of activities for both adults and kids...everything has been thought of.
Cons: I liked everything.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel with great location, unbelievable nice staff.. Just everyone was really really kind and caring like we experienced it in no hotel ever before. Great pools, very tasty food. Everything feels very relaxed and natural. We had a fantastic time and can strongly recommend this place. Perfect place for a honeymoon.
Cons: We visited during low season with lower rates than in high season so the price was totally appropriate. In very high season prices are much higher... for that money the villas would have to be renovated in our opinion.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is the epitome of the Six Senses experience. From that perspective it is truly wonderful. Staff are great, always smiling and helpful, make you truly feel special. Our GEM, Ma (sort of in house majordome), was also perfect. Always looking to go above and beyond to make our experience truly exceptional.
Cons: The hotel is part of the Six Senses network but the facilities are a bit outdated and in urgent need of refreshing. The entertainment system in the rooms is a disaster and the commun areas are not at the level that you would expect at a five star hotel charging 700/1500 USD a night for the cheaper rooms. Fortunately for future travelers, they have started to renovate the hotel, so I would suggest that you guys check before booking that you are being booked into one of the newer villas.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location and the views from all parts of the resort was simply superb. Housekeeping was amazing with great attention to detail with high quality service understanding. The buggy service was extremely punctual whenever you needed them. Spa treatments are very good with highly trained staff. However, the pricing of the spa treatments are way too expensive by any standards.
Cons: The quality of the food was very good in general but there are no standards followed during the preparation and the serving of the food. The exact same dish comes in a different way each time you order it, and the quality of the food is also different apart from the presentation of it. The service quality among all restaurant or room service staff is similar to the quality of the food - not following a standard which is a major issue for a place at this level. The pricing on the food items are way above the average for similar places in Thailand. Spa therapists shall not exert too much pressure in selling spa products and other treatments and just stay as therapists. Spa reception and booking staff can do all the marketing talk, and it is not a nice feeling to have a sales pitch received from a therapist immediately after 90 min of relaxing massage!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We celebrated our wedding anniversary in this hotel and it was magical. The views are stunning, the villas are very private, the beds and pillows are very comfortable. The staff is incredibly friendly. If you are looking for a lifetime experience, this is the place
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Best scenery, great food, kind staff
Cons: No
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A very well run and organised resort for people who don't want to deal with crowds of people and just want to relax and unwind. Our GEM was brilliant not pushy at all and just organised the outings we wanted to. The food is fantastic well presented and very fresh. The free ice cream at the Deli is an added bonus any time of the day.

Pros: Amazing and tasty breakfasts. Very friendly stuff and good restaurant inside. It’s possible to rent a scooter close by. You can easily book some nice additional activities in resort like Thai cooking class or island hopping tour, yoga class or romantic dinner on the beach (wonderful experience for anniversary, nice date or birthday celebration). Fully recommend for anniversary stay, celebrations, honey moons or just vacations to have a very good rest in nice atmosphere.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were wonderful. They were polite, friendly, helpful and efficient. The view of the bay is beautiful. The sunsets were spectacular. The beach is gorgeous. The resort is a haven of tranquillity.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant on the beach, the outdoor shower, the quiet and clean private beach (i believe it is the best on the island, having seen also the other public beach on which the other 4-5 resort are located), the sunsets. Low tide can be really low, but this takes only a couple of hours.
Cons: It is a little on the expensive side given value for money. The superior villas seem to be older than the first row beach pool villas, but in any case those are really expensive in my view compared to similar or even better locations in SE Asia.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were in Thailand 3 weeks and glow was the best place we stayed. Beautiful views, private clean beach, no crowd at all even it was high season. Delicious food, perfect massage and comfortable villa :) Totally recommend for those who looking for pure relaxation. The island is also perfect location if you would like to visit smaller island in the neighbourhood. We attend the Christmas party which was perfectly organised. Thank you Agnes for taking care about everything.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location and cozy bungalows.
Cons: Booked the New Years party. Too expensive and poor quality of entertainment.

Pros: Amazing location food is so good
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is just perfect! It's so beautiful, the views across the bay are breathtaking and the rooms are clean, tranquil and the bed is super comfy. We only spent 2 nights here, but wish it was longer. We also booked a snorkeling trip through the hotel, which ended up with us having a private tour, which was great! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to treat themselves and enjoy the amazing scenery of Koh Yao Yai.
Cons: My only complaint is that 10% service charge is added to all transactions within the hotel - even if you go up to the bar and order drinks directly.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing , staff were so kind and helpful rooms are so clean . We will come back again, thank you
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful and pleasant
Cons: No proper beach around, water is muddy. only 2 restaurants in the isolated property. Could be nice for a honeymoon, too boring for us
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Wildness , chill place , super nice pool and a really nice island. We trustily recommend the place
Cons: The room is comfortable but due the fact that is in the jungle can’t be perfectly clean
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Spectacular location at the sea front for the pool and main restaurant. The villas are a bit behind in the nice garden/forest. Transfer from Restaurant to villas by free golf caddies on request. Rooms ar spacious with great terrace each. This is a very good place to relax.
Cons: I did not enjoy the way to be almost forced to take hotel services for transfers at much too high rates! Just be careful and organice better by yourselves. To enforce guests to book hotel services, they ban outside taxies to come to the lobby for pick-up (this is important for departing guests)! Just ask for the free golf car service to bring you to the hotel gate.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great. The room was very nice and comfortable. The highlight was the pools. It was a quiet relaxing place. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The experience was very good and with small kids, a nice break from the beach with the swimming pools. Get up early to eat breakfast with the sunrise. Beautiful view!
Cons: The only issue we had was the 17% taxes that were added to everything. Not a Thailand thing that we have experienced and it really stopped us spending money at the resort. It just made everything that much more expensive. But we did what a lot of guests did and eat out on the road at inexpensive restaurants. The food there was very good.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful villa in a very quit location in the middle of the jungle. Beautiful infinity pool inviting for endless swims enjoying the views over the see. Great food at the hotel's restaurant. Sophisticated spa for relaxing treatments.
Cons: Limited choice for continental breakfast
9,0 Excellent
Pros: All the amenities are well situated No vehicles in the resort Best breakfast buffet in Thailand.

6,7 Good
Pros: Beautiful resort, spa was nice (minus the high-pressure sales). Rooms all have great views and are nicely equipped.
Cons: Immediately upon arrival they force you into a room and get pressured to buy spa packages. Staff was friendly but not welcoming or knowledgeable. Don’t expect a good cocktail or excellent service from the inexperienced wait staff and bar tenders. And upon check out they are pushing you out of the room quite aggressively.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff is extremely nice and males sure you get what you are looking for at all times. Clean and spacious rooms. Room service twice a day if requested. Great food and ambience and exceptional view
4,0 Okay
Pros: The views and the furniture were real nice! Classes, spa and activities were appreciated. Especially yoga.
Cons: Cleanliness... found a roach in the room. Food and drinks basic or nasty.. got food poisoning The smell in the rooms and corridors reminds of horse stables.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast buffet was great. Extremely beautiful views. A place of serenity
Cons: Nothing. Stop playing
6,0 Good
Pros: The views from the villa on the sea were striking.... although jellyfish made it impossible to swim in it. I totally would recommend he spa and yoga classes, as well as thai boxing.
Cons: Cleanliness was certainly an issue. The floors in the communal areas were ever oily and had a nasty smell.. which might be ok until you have to walk there barefoot (requirement of the hotel). You can enjoy your stay in this hotel as long as you don't mind a faint smell of canalisation in the upper deck restaurant. Be prepared to deal with unexpected guests on your villas terrace.. such as snakes and unfriendly monkeys (with which the staff was unable to properly deal). The food was unimpressive, most cocktails were nasty and one of the guests got food poisoning. Beware that if you will like to enjoy the sundown in the pier bar you will have to pay 4000 bat just for the seat.. and you will discover this only at checkout :( To be fair this is not the worst 5 star hotel in Thailand, but I would definitely take "Luxury" out of its name.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: The resort was absolutely beautiful! I can't say enough about how friendly the staff were too. Our room was very nice, with a view of the ocean where we could watch the sunset every night. The pool area is great, as is the beach. Highly recommend this resort for a great place to relax and rejuvenate!
Cons: The food was quite pricey. The buffet is well worth it but the quality/portion sizes of the pool-side food were not worth the price.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A very luxurious resort. A nice escape from the busy traveling of northern Thailand
Cons: You’re definitely doing the resort thing here, the area around the resort didn’t have a lot going on.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing Location
Cons: I didn't like the food options as it contained a lot of pork

8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is situated directly on the beach.
Cons: The room was very nice but to hot and the aircondition was not able to manage the temperature and made us ill.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: The location for the beach experience is good. it is the only beach in Yao Yai without big low tide. you will have the sea all day long which is important in an island like Yao Yai. The rooms are nice, large and clean.
Cons: We started our stay with a nice room. The second day the AC was broken. The staff didn’t succeed to fix it until 23.00 hours. Around 01.00 am they offer us another room for the night. In the next 5 days we have to change our room 4 times. Almost every day the management ask us to change the room. Without any notice. For the fist 3 days we pack and unpack out luggage. At the end we give up and was waiting next day with luggage packed. The management did not care about us or our situation. The breakfast was poor and we have only 2 option yogurt or eggs. For the six days. the price for the breakfast is not worthy....but you don’t have other options. The food in restaurant is good but portions are small and pricey for what you’ve got.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is perfect from the location, the beach, the rooms, the staff and the area it is located in.
Cons: We really liked everything and will be back
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Superb location on the beach. Small boutique style hotel with around 16 rooms offering a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Just a short stroll into the small town along the beach for shops and restaurants. Great hotel to just sit back and relax and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Would highly recommend if that's what you want to do. Most visitors stay for 2-4 nights - we stayed for 10 and it was just perfect. The pool, although quite small, was never full and there was always a sunbed, so no need to reserve! We had a 1st Floor SeaView room with a plunge pool, but to be honest, we didn't really use it. Sunsets at night were amazing! Fantastic watching the boats come in and people watching. It's not a packed beach at all even with visiting boats - at times it was completely deserted! Food and alcohol is served all day, but as the island is primarily of a Muslim majority, there are only a few other restaurants in the town that serve alcohol. Staff: Moh has a great understanding of English and Dah Dah used Google Translate - they were both fun, accommodating and excellent. The other staff struggle with English but they do try (and our Thai is close to non-existent!). We hired a moped with a side car to tour the island. No problem at all and such fun! We felt very safe at all times. There is a massage parlour above the restaurant and worth treating yourself - not overly priced! If you want some adventures, there is still plenty to do with visits to other islands and boat trips in long tail boats! Definitely worth visiting Hong Island! Food was absolutely amazing at the hotel and in the town - recommend visiting Ody's/Bejraksa and Together Restaurant!
Cons: Only a very limited stock of alcoholic drinks (spirits) which they often ran out of. Restaurant/bar closes quite early! The shower was a bit 'hit or miss' on whether you had hot water and the pressure was really bad. On arrival the hotel looks like a bit of a building site, as they are building another hotel next door, but once you walk through it's lovely - the noise didn't really didn't bother us at all. Food and drink is a bit pricey but not too bad. If you pay by Card there is a 3% surcharge - not highly advertised! The ATM in town is often out of order, so if you go to the Exchange, you will also have a 3% surcharge but you can head to 7/11 ATM a short car/moped drive away.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We’re a family of 4. Two children of 2 and 5 y/o. Stayed 10 nights. Perfect for families with children! Pools, a nice garden to play in and right next to beach with no road or cars inbetween! Quiet, calm and relaxing place with lots of charm! Personal atmosphere with very welcoming and nice staff and owner. Delicious food served at their cozy restaurant on the beach.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location of this hotel was exceptional. We enjoyed our views from our room. The gardens were well-maintained and it was so lovely to have pool access.
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: Great place & location, absolute a favorite place.
Cons: Extreme and loud building construction from a Chinese new hotel in the back yard of the hotel . Loud and heavy construction noise from 7.30 in the morning until 17.00 mid day. It is absolute not fair the Hotel does not mention this construction work anywhere before we booked the room. It is absolutely frustration with building construction in a beautiful place like this and expectations was quietness and relaxation , but the noice was In my opinion in a caliber the Hotel should be closed down in this construction period.

Pros: We had a great stay, perfect holiday feeling here
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Good location, kind personel; Brand new and very spacoius hill cottage surronded by loads of green plants; 2 clean swimming pools with a great view; Store just around the corner. Normal / good price for food masaage and laundry. Kind personel.
Cons: We got hill side villa, however just after coming to resort we realized we have to cross the road to get there- it was ok for us (as villa was very nice and brand new) but for some guests it may be a disadventage, so be carefull which room you chose.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Not a ton of bungalows so the resort never feels too crowded even when the rooms are full. The staff are super nice but don’t have great English. They are patient though!
Cons: The beach turns into a mud flat when the tide goes down but you don’t come to koh Yao Yai for the ocean swimming. Hit the pool instead which is great!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, and the location also .The pool had a stunning view and the bungalow are modern and very comfortable. In the area you can find good restaurants Very clean place It is close to one of the most beautiful beach on the island The property has scouters rental and trips
Cons: The personal of the location it isn't so nice ,specially at the reception .No smiles or other nice words to be welcomed. The food and the restaurant isn't so good and expensive , I don't recomand to eat there
4,0 Okay
Pros: The view from the swimming pool is amazing ! The shuttle from phuket airport was well organized.
Cons: The people working there were not welcoming at well. Noeone smiled nor was nice which made us feel very uncomfortable.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed in a great hill villa, very spacious and great value for money. Facilities has numerous pools, best one was right in the beach front. Apprehensive about hiring scooters but managed to hire one with a side car at the shop right next to the hotel which allowed me to explore the whole of the island.
Cons: Breakfast was good but had a broken toaster which unexpectedly did cause some chaos and frustration with a lot of people at breakfast fighting over the two slots which were working.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We traveled to the Koh Yao Yai with my mother for 5 days when visiting Thailand and stayed in bungalow in second line. The bungalow is wooden and have very beautiful and tasteful wooden interior design, it is enough spacious and has outside shower that however provides with absolute privacy. The hotel provides daily with fresh water and towels for both, pool and shower. There is enough of green between bungalows in second line, that provides privacy even when you want to sit on the terrace in the evening. The breakfast is served in outside restaurant with a sea view and is simply perfect, with significant choice of fruits, sweets, cereals, bread and eggs are prepared based on your choice. For dinner you can either have a meal in the resort or you can choose one of restaurants nearby. There is also two stores in 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel where you can buy alcoholic beverages. You can order a boat trip from the resort that will take you to near by islands and beaches where you can swim. Despite lack of the beach nearby, I am for sure coming to this place again.
Cons: There is basically no beach near the hotel, due to significant high and low tides (so either water till wall, or 100 m of mud). But for refreshing you can always go into the pool (not deep and rather for kids) or order a boat trip.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Pool
Cons: Top rooms have view of concrete wall, u then have to cross busy road to get breakfast

Pros: The nice people who was working there. Hope The big boss give them good money and take good care of them!!!!!
Cons: Oh my good IT WAS ANT EVERYWHERE. Many many MILLION!!! .Think they will eat up the nice house soon!!!! Very very expensive to stay there with that bad standard... and breakfast wad very simpel..
7,0 Good
Pros: Very good hotel with a good confort but a bit isolated as many hotel in koh yao yai !! Better in Avoid if there is no mean of transportation (car or motorbike for example) otherwise the hotel is very relaxing and has a good evening bar in front of the beach ;)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, really friendly welcome. They take their time to talk and are helpful. Chill by the beach, see locals fishing, kids flying kites. This is the real island life that we are all looking for in Thailand. Rent a scooter from the reception and drive around the island, go to restaurants near by and eat amazing food (Hinkong) - and at the end of the day watch the stars and enjoy a beer on the beach listening to the waves. We can't recommend this place enough. Gay couple and felt welcome
Cons: Bed is a little hard
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect place, very very nice staff (Liu, fu, ken, and the nice guy from Myanmar) we really a enjoyed our stay there
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very service-minded staff, quick to help with transportation, rental of car (or motorbike), any questions we might have. Good coffee, breakfast is nice - but we also had lunch and dinner in the restaurant sometimes and it was great. Rooms are spacious and clean. Nice pool. Nice views from the property, right on the beach.
Cons: You can't really swim on the beach, but the pool was great.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The people of Baan Taranya were so lovely and helpful. Had a great stay and wish we could stay longer!
Cons: That we had to leave ;)
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly and helpful staff, although their English could be better. Nicely decorated common areas. Very good restaurants located just up the road.
Cons: Mosquitos. They have a small pond that might just be a breeding ground for them. Beach is only suitable for swimming at high tide. Motorbikes for rent are much overpriced. Some of the food in the restaurant is not really traditional, but apparently changed for westerners (Ketchup in Pad Thai?!?).
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff - they drove my friend to the doctor and back without charge. They were caring a lot about their guests!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The pool was perfect, and the terrace of the bungalow was a great place to sit. The staff were super friendly and made a genuine effort with all guests, really appreciated. Long stretches of undeveloped beach in both directions.
Cons: The food was just ok, and there were better places just up the road. We wished the bar would stay open later too, it never stayed open as late as they said it would. Motorbikes were overpriced. Overall we enjoyed our stay

Pros: The views and the furniture were real nice! Classes, spa and activities were appreciated. Especially yoga.
Cons: Cleanliness... found a roach in the room. Food and drinks basic or nasty.. got food poisoning The smell in the rooms and corridors reminds of horse stables.

Pros: Breakfast buffet was great. Extremely beautiful views. A place of serenity
Cons: Nothing. Stop playing

Pros: A very luxurious resort. A nice escape from the busy traveling of northern Thailand
Cons: You’re definitely doing the resort thing here, the area around the resort didn’t have a lot going on.

Pros: Amazing Location
Cons: I didn't like the food options as it contained a lot of pork

Pros: Everything. The natural beauty that surrounds the property to the service-minded and friendly staff, the range of activities for both adults and kids...everything has been thought of.
Cons: I liked everything.

Pros: We celebrated our wedding anniversary in this hotel and it was magical. The views are stunning, the villas are very private, the beds and pillows are very comfortable. The staff is incredibly friendly. If you are looking for a lifetime experience, this is the place
