Pros: The wide variety of flavorful breakfast made with authentic Aizu local ingredients and its setting was the best. Even it was a little too much for me, the super friendly hosts offered guests to pack the lunch with some rice balls. Their wonderful omotenashi (hospitality) made my stay so comfortable and pleasant at this traditional cozy ryokan.
Cons: At the beginning, I thought the closest small station "Nanokamachi" was a little inconvenient because the trains don't come by very often. But later I found out they offer free shuttle to the bigger "Aizuwakamachi" station and famous Nanokamachi shopping street was enjoyable to just browse around.
Pros: The service was outstanding! The food amazing. Very clean and comfortable even with four in a room.
Cons: The absolute only thing I can think of is the need for a better pillow but we are in Japan and traditions ryokans only tend to provide rice filled pillows.
Pros: Staff is very helpful and kind
Pros: Staffs in Tagoto are very nice. They try to communicate with us and recommend the good place to go. Have good manage for booking time for bath room and breakfast.
Pros: Tagoto is a truly lovely Japanese guest house. Well maintained and beautifully presented. We arrived at dusk to find it lit as the pictures on their webpage depict. A very friendly welcome and then led to our room for an overview. Restaurants in the area are in abundance and only short walk away. Consider booking if there is a restaurant that really appeals to you. An excellent breakfast served in traditional Japanese style. On leaving we were driven to the station by one of the staff. We wanted to stay longer but there was no space at the inn. Highly recommended.
Cons: awesome stay and food! Strongly recommand to experienced it! Will be back next time if got chance
Pros: - Good taste and wonderful meal, gain more weight while stay here.Enjoy in every meal. - House look beautiful and love to stay here, hot bath room is good, feel like home - Staffs are very nice and warm welcome. - Location is perfect, can walk to Nanukamachi train station and loop bus stop in few minute - Have car pick up service from/to Aizu Wakamatsu Train station

Pros: Beautiful contemporary Japanese design room that was spacious and had a view of the city. Modern outdoor baths had excellent views of Aizu Wakamatsu. Buffet dinner and breakfast were excellent.
Pros: The onsen hotel is very comfortable. We had a western style room on the 3rd floor. It was very large with separate bathroom and dressing areas, a little sun room and a huge bedroom with a king size bed, armchairs etc etc. The buffet dinner and breakfast offer a reasonable range of Japanese and (some) Western food. The rest was really great: the staff are friendly and helpful throughout the complex; its well heated so we could comfortably wander around in the yukata's provided and enjoy the unique Japanese onsen experience; the onsen baths are well maintained, large enough to not get too crowded and have indoor and outdoor pools. As an added Christmas bonus there was a short performance of Xmas and Abba songs by an enthusiastic and well rehearsed band made up of hotel staff members...
Cons: In the room the couch had a little hole in one of the arms and some of the joinery needed small repairs. There were no vegetarian options (e.g. tofu) as there had been on a previous visit.
Pros: Perfect for onsen , room and breakfast/dinner.
Cons: Far from Higashiyama onsen by walking.
Pros: This is an all inclusive property you get dinner and breakfast. The massage was an amazing price and onsen had unbelievable views. Good selection in buffet between western and japanese cuisine.
Cons: Considering you are in the north of Japan language barrier was there. Only one person during our stay spoke English. Not a big deal, but in a hotel would be nice to have multiple staff members who spoke English.
Pros: Beautiful views from the public baths! My room was the cheapest, but at that, still way better than a cheap room in any business hotel. Well done. Beautiful breakfast and dinner buffet, with a wide variety of choices.
Cons: The buffet could do with some English info tags. The bathroom was quite small in comparison to the room. They could've eave left out the bath tub, since they have two big public baths anyway.
Pros: Good quality services and facilities are good
Cons: Shuttle bus service should run more frequent

Pros: Large Japanese-style rooms with mattresses and an en-suite. The outside of the building may look slightly dated but the interior is well maintained and clean. Amenities provided including but not limited to face masks, facial lotion, bath salts.
Pros: Spacious room, by Japanese standards. Japanese style bathroom. Good breakfast with a variety of choices. Friendly, efficient staff. Easy walk to Tsuruga-jo and Suehiro Sake Brewery. Inexpensive taxi ride from the train station. Laundry facilities.
Cons: Single small window, when combined with dark furnishings, made the room somewhat claustrophobic. Small flat pillows. Noisy air conditioner.
Pros: I really enjoyed my stay in the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I liked the beds a lot as well. There was some nice tea in the room too. The room was quiet, which I think is important. They give you the option to have the rooms cleaned or not, and I got some water bottles too. It was clean and elegant.
Cons: Would have been good if there had been a convenience store nearby.
Pros: The room was well maintained and had a kettle. At breakfast you could choose from a wide range of Japanese and European food. It is on a lovely street near restaurants and shops.
Pros: Good breakfast, especially the honey, very impressive.
Pros: It was possible to open the window and get fresh air. Very calm. Nice neighborhood. Every morning newspaper (only japanese) In the evening free coffee. Nice lobby/lounge Very friendly staff. Old fashioned room key, you had to let at the front desk when leaving for daytour, but every evening got my key, even without having to say the room number. They helped me to fill in the paper in japanese for sending the luggage. Eco-friendly: possibility to put a sign on the door, for not having the room cleaned and linen and towels changed. If you choose to get your room cleaned: every day a new bottle of water in the fridge. Be careful if not: garbage is not put out. Very convenient location. 20 Minutes walking to station (where buses are starting, and you can find rental car) or to the castle. Free parking space Had a room on same floor as vending machine, ice cube maker, microwave and washing machine with english explanation: convenient. Curtain to the tiny hallway, so you would not be disturbed from light outside of the room. I enjoyed my stay at the New Palace Hotel and hope to come back.
Cons: you could not reach the window to open it, without climbing over the bed. The length of the bed was as large as the room itself. Few english, but at check in they had some helpful printed out instructions and phrases in english. No closet in the room
Pros: The room had enough space around the bed, the bathroom and shower were very good. The bed was very comfortable.
Pros: The hotel was a good base to explore the region. It was reasonably close to the train and bus.

Pros: We had a very nice, spacious twin room which was clean. The furo (bath) was small, but also clean and the breakfast was good.
Cons: For our purposes, it was too far from the train station.
Pros: Exactly what you'd expect from a business hotel. Decent value for money, comfy bedl
Cons: The breakfast was just bad.
Pros: Lion d'or supermarket is just nearby.
Pros: breakfast was amazing. traditional japanese breakfast. The staff is super attentive they will give you the extra mile just to make you feel really comfortable. the hotel amenities are awesome, location is quite good but i felt it was a little far from the train station and turist spots but it is quite accesible. once again the staff is amazing
Pros: With the help of a very friendly front desk lady we could find a wonderful sake bar nearby, tucked away from the hotel's busy street.
Cons: Breakfast was minimal, lots of processed meat and greasy fried stuff, in light of Japanese standards for breakfast not good. No soy milk. It's really a hotel for car drivers, surrounded by disgusting drive-in fast food chains.
Pros: The hotel is easy to be found near the main road with free private parking space. The room is big and clean, comfortable bed with all the facilities, love the bath gel and shampoo in the bathroom. There are also public bath in the hotel that have to put the passcode to open the public bath door for women room and the passcode change everyday that was a caring for women. The staff are nice and give the impressive service, breakfast is good and dinner in the hotel's restaurant was great. recommend to have a dinner at hotel's restaurant, price is reasonable and delicious. Around hotel surrounding with supermarket and restaurants and shops.
Cons: The bathroom is a bit small, as it has to give the space for bath tub so we use the public bath instead which is more comfortable. after all everything was great.
Pros: The service, the crew all nice
Cons: The WiFi connection always not stable
Pros: Big supermarket and konbini nearby, good breakfast, decent bathroom and room size.
Cons: A bit far from the station, the bed was very hard and the room a bit dated. Room was very cold and it took some time until the heater started to work. I thought it was a bit too expensive for the quality and location.
